🎂 IMPORTANT SKOOLOLOGY RESEARCH 🎂
Today’s research question: Exactly how much cake is required to properly celebrate Sara's birthday? We’re going to need a LARGE sample size. 😂 Happy Birthday, @Sara Fredrick !! 🥳 I hope your day includes good people, lots of laughter, something delicious, and at least a little bit of doing exactly what YOU want to do. We’re awfully glad you’re here. 💛 Everybody help us wish Sara a VERY Happy Birthday! 🎉🎈

❤️ BUILDER’S MORNING: When did that get easier?
There are things we do today that once took a whole lot more out of us. A conversation we used to rehearse 14 times. 😂 A decision that would have kept us awake. Hitting publish. Saying no. Asking for money. Changing our minds. Trying again after something didn’t work. And then somewhere along the way, it got a little easier. Not necessarily because the thing changed. Maybe we did. The funny part is, our brains aren't always very good at keeping track of that kind of progress. We notice what’s still hard. What still needs work. How far there is to go. Meanwhile, something that once required a small committee meeting in our head 😂 has quietly become...something we can do. So this morning... What feels a little easier for you today than it did six months ago? And maybe the bigger question... What does that tell you about how you’ve changed? ❤️🐼🎋
❤️ BUILDER’S MORNING: When did that get easier?

It got easier when I realized this really is a different kind of 9/5 life... I’m still working and building... but I’m building my own business.... one that allows me to be home... be present with my family... and show up for the moments that matter without asking a boss for permission to be there... ❤️... And the beautiful part??? I get to help other people build toward their dreams too... Step by Step... Walking in Faith... I truly believe God has already given us so much of what we need to move forward... but sometimes WE are the ones standing in our own way... We overthink... We question ourselves... We compare our beginning to somebody else’s middle... We wonder if we’re good enough... ready enough... or far enough along... But we stepped out in faith for a reason... There is a purpose for our story... our experiences... and what we’re building... So instead of asking... “Why am I not where they are???” Maybe we focus on the path God has placed in front of US... These are the 3 questions I’m thinking about this morning: 1). How can YOU help someone get to where you are right now??? You don’t have to be at the finish line to help someone a few steps behind you... 2). How can YOU be HOPE for someone today??? What encouragement can you give to the person who may be ready to quit??? 3). How can YOU get your message in front of the person who needs it??? Because someone out there may be waiting for the very thing YOU have learned to share... Maybe the build gets a little easier when we stop making it about how far we still have to go... and start recognizing how far God has already brought us... ❤️... Faith... Purpose... Service... One step at a time... And yes... @Donna Thornton ... somewhere along the way... it DID get easier...❤️🐼🎋...
🔨 Kathy is building something new...
and I’d love to get a few more eyes on it. ❤️ @Kathy Adams has been working through the name and direction for her ASL community and has landed on: The All Students Learn Neighborhood Learn ASL. Share It. Bring It Home. There’s a meaningful story behind the “Neighborhood” idea, and Kathy shared a little of that in the original thread. Would you take a look and give her your first reaction? What does the name make you expect the community to be about? And does the tagline help make that clearer? 👉 Kathy’s original post: https://www.skool.com/skoolology/in-the-build-bring-us-into-it?p=79b77f51 This is exactly what In the Build is for. Bring it in before everything is polished and let the room help you see what you may not be able to see from inside the build. ❤️

@Kathy Adams ... I love this so much... The name feels very intentional... especially because ASL can also stand for “All Students Learn...” which gives it meaning beyond just a title... I also think your personal family connection gives your journey validity... That is not something to hide... That is the very reason people will trust your heart behind this... You are not just creating another community... You are building a place from lived experience.. compassion... and a real need you have seen up close... Your tagline is strong too: Learn ASL... Share It... Bring it Home... That tells me this is not just about learning signs. It is about helping families... students... teachers... caregivers... churches... and communities communicate better and bring that learning into everyday life... For your About Page... I would make sure you clearly answer three simple things: Who is this for??? Why does this matter to you personally??? What can someone expect to learn or feel when they join??? I think you are on a beautiful path... This feels needed... heartfelt... and very practical.... So excited for you!!!

What Would Your Community Look Like on a Magazine Rack? 👀
@Virgel Nel surprised us by creating a magazine cover for Skoolology. So, of course, I had to return the favor. 😂 But while I was creating his, something interesting happened. I realized a magazine cover is actually a pretty good branding test. You don't have much room to explain yourself. You have to communicate quickly: 💙 Who is this for? 💙 What do they care about? 💙 What do you want to be known for? 💙 What should this community feel like? And here's the part that really got me thinking. Virgel had to decide what stood out about Skoolology. I had to decide what stood out about Singular Vision. That's different from writing your own About page. Your brand isn't only what you say about yourself. It's also what people have come to associate with you. So here's a little experiment if you want to play with us. Upload a photo of yourself, your community name, and your community description to ChatGPT and give it this prompt: Create a magazine cover for my community using the photo and information I've provided. Treat the cover as a branding exercise. Capture who the community is for, what they care about, the change they want, and the personality of the community. Make it look like a real lifestyle or business magazine, with a strong masthead, feature headlines, smaller cover lines, and visual details that reinforce the brand. Don't just repeat my description. Interpret what this community should feel like to the right person. Then don't just look at whether you like the design. Look at what it reflects back to you. 💚 Does this feel like us? 💚 What did it pick up that we're communicating clearly? 💚 What did it get wrong or overemphasize? 💚 What's missing that you thought was obvious? And maybe the biggest question: 💚💙 If someone else created your magazine cover based on what you're putting into the world right now, would it match what you want to be known for? If you try it, bring your cover back here. But also tell us what you noticed. 🐼
