Here’s something most people overlook when it comes to video: visuals alone don’t maximize “memorable”. Visual + Sound does. Research shows background music can double ad recall. That means viewers are way more likely to remember your brand when they hear something that fits the vibe. Sometimes, big brands even let the music do the influencing. They’ll use a familiar song as the “influencer” instead of a person. Have you heard the music in the current “Better in Denim” GAP commercial? It catches my attention even when I’m not looking at the TV. (Might even want a milkshake 😉) When you add music to your video, you’re not just filling space. You’re creating emotion, setting the pace, and giving people something to connect with. Pair that with strong visuals, and you’ve got a message that sticks long after the scroll. So as you’re creating, don’t just ask “what does this look like?” 👉🏽 Ask: “what does this sound like?” Because video isn’t just seen, it’s felt.

Ever hit record and suddenly your brain goes blank? It’s not just you. It happens to almost everyone. A teleprompter can help. Not to make you sound like a robot, but to calm the nerves and keep your message tight. You can load a full script or just a few bullet points. Either way, it keeps you from rambling or forgetting that one key thing you meant to say. And if you want to keep it super basic, you can even pull up a doc with bullet points or speaking notes right on your screen to reference. Here are a few teleprompters I recommend if you want to try that route: 👉🏽 BIGVU – Works on mobile or in your browser. Free version gives you recording with scrolling text with a watermark. Paid removes the watermark and adds editing, captions, branding, and even AI tools. 👉🏽 Cueprompter.com – 100% free, browser-based, super simple. Just paste your script and hit play. 👉🏽 TeleprompterMirror.com – Free browser version with speed and font adjustments. If you want extras like remote control, there’s a paid upgrade. You don’t need fancy gear to feel confident on camera. A teleprompter can take the pressure off and let you focus on connecting with your audience.

I use the Elgato Teleprompter for basic stuff and a higher end one for course work. Game changer.
