A bit about my Notion style?
I thought I would take this chance to share a bit about my Notion style so you know a bit more about what to expect from me in this group. There are lots of Notion users out there and I think we all have different strengths. I get a bit of imposter syndrome when I get requests from really techie people to join this group. That is because I am not a techie kind of user. I understand the tech to a certain level but I am not a developer and I don't know anything other than basic formulas (Notion AI is great for helping with this so I don't need to be!) So what am I, if I'm not a super techie user? I would say I am a creative user of Notion. I love to find new ways to use Notion to suit the end user. This is probably because I studied product design at university. • I have used Notion to create a system to plan and implement a bundle collaboration to grow my email list. • I have used Notion to create a feedback system for my offers • I have used Notion to create a support ticket system for my offers • I am working on a back end system for hair and beauty salons to help them to manage their staff and back end operations more efficiently. Notion is super flexible. If you are clear on what you need it to do, you can likely build what you need and make it as simple as possible. So, I guess I am a creative and Notion is my canvas. What would you love Notion to do for you?

Honestly, I would love to have notion as my backend of everything for my business. I am slowly getting there. I would love a spot to hold my watch later things and to create a to do list each day but to have a long to do list with deadlines where I can grab from each day and check off.
Wanna join our co-working call to measure Jan?
Happening at 7pm UK time tomorrow (Monday). We’ll use The Creative Insights HQ built in Notion of course. Using this info to guide our action for Feb. If you are new to The Results Room you can observe so you can set Feb up in a way that you can measure next month and get a feel for the HQ. I’ll be measuring my Jan and it’s gonna be brutal as I barely did anything after Covid struck the family. You get the HQ as part of The Results Room membership. More info and ability to upgrade here: https://www.skool.com/notion-for-marketing-9679/plans Feel free to ask any questions below. Kinda looking forward to it but kinda stressed about my own results 🫣 Hopefully see you there.

I still need to finish setting up my results room. I'm so far behind on that. Life has been so busy with subbing at the school. I didn't sell anything this last month.
Working on a new thing
I’m still not feeling 100% but I have been working on a new thing for beauty and hair salons. It’s a backend for trainings, policies, meeting notes, logging hours and holiday accrual. I’ve rebuilt the holiday accrual system 3 times as I test different aspects of it. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes in Notion. Trial and error is a great way to learn and refine what you’re building.

@Amy Hardie I'm glad you are feeling better. My daughter feels better today and is headed to school. So we will see what happens. BTW, I still need to fully set up my notion stuff. It's on my to do list.
Got Covid 😔
Hi folks, sorry I've not been on here much this week. I'm pretty sure I've got Covid. As sure as I can be without testing. Got a horrible metallic taste in my mouth and feel absolutely horrible. Anyway, feel free to chat with each other. I'll hopefully be back soon. I am feeling a lot better today than I did yesterday (I spent yesterday asleep). Hope you are all having a more productive January than I am.

Get some rest and feel better soon
Do you wait until January to start new things?
I used to but stopped years ago. Why? Because the weather is awful, bugs are going round and my plans in January often get pushed back. This year has been a prime example. We’ve been snowed in since Jan 1st. It’s looking like it may thaw tomorrow. But that’s 11 days of January wasted. We’ve spent most of the time tripping over each other stuck at home. Trying to homeschool again as schools were closed last week. And trekking in the snow to the local shop on a daily basis only to discover the staples have sold out or not been delivered. I’m so glad that when I was gifted a 5 year journal in October by @Jo Simpson I started it there and then and didn’t wait until Jan 1st. Otherwise I would have stopped using it already because these last 10 days have been like Groundhog Day. Anyway. I’m doing things all year and not waiting for January, how about you?
