Today’s class is canceled! (Friday, Feb 20th)
To stay on track go to the video library and take a Friday Stability x 3 in the Advanced Week Recordings. Or Wednesday’s super tough class is the library - do that one instead.

Feel better soon!
Confession
I have known Jay for 20+ years. I have referred 100s of clients. I've never really been one. I want to. I think I'm scared of disappointing him. Yes, this could have easily been a private message, but I thought I'd make it public just to see what comes back and to relieve him of coaching me. So, if you're reading this. It's on you. lol I think he's too nice. I think I need a drill sargent and yet, I hate authority. I think I have too many excuses and I'd rather sit and type than get off my ass. thoughts?

@Chad Steele thanks for sharing this with us. I can totally relate. This is definitely a different experience than going to the gym where, in my case, I tend to go on autopilot through my routines- often while watching TV! Instead, this practice challenges me to actually listen and sense what's going on in my body. It's much more profound. I think it has guided me many times to work with with my body instead of against it, and build a much healthier kind of strength than what I get by numbing out on machines. (Assuming I even make it to the gym, which is pretty rare for me these days too.) In that regard, though, Jay and this practice do ask more of us than any gym: to be accountable to ourselves. Those excuses you mentioned don't go away. But I bet that once you start noticing the benefits in your life, you'll realize that the excuses and barriers are part of the journey too.

Going through these steps really helps me sense the extremes and then find the center.
Who here believes that learning how to stand better can’t possible reduce pain?
Does it seem too simple or irrelevant? I’d love to hear from you!!

Before I started working with you, Jay, I would have definitely thought that 'learning to stand better to improve pain' made no sense- and that standing is just something we do, after learning 'how' as toddlers. Developing a conscious awareness of how we are aligned at a given moment is a life-changing and life-improving experience!

@Jay Kratz Great noticing! I think both are true. It's a small spot in my dining room for walking, and I also tend to get a little stuck in a rotation to the left.
