Baby Dedications
How do you all do your baby dedications? As our church grows we are looking for new more personal ideas for baby dedications. Currently we do them on Sunday morning after worship before service actually starts. We run 3 services and the family chooses what service they would like so we they can invite guests. We don’t have a specifically scheduled Sunday; it usually happens at the request of the parent. This was not difficult when our congregation number was lower but as we grow we need to adjust. Any ideas on how we can do this maybe a different day and still make it feel personal and special for the family?

We do ours on Sanctity of Human Life Sunday during the morning Worship Service. Families are presented to the congregation, and we make a covenant/commitment to one another: PARENTS’ COVENANT Pastor: Parents, will you raise your children in the fear and admonition of the Lord, teaching them by word and deed to hold fast to the essentials of the Christian faith, to keep God’s commandments, and to serve him in righteousness and holiness, all their days? Parents: We will, with God’s help. Pastor: And will you keep your family in the fellowship of the church, live a life of continual repentance, and continually devote yourselves to the breaking of bread and to prayer? Parents: We will, with God’s help. CHURCH’S COVENANT Pastor: Church family, do you promise to support the instruction of these children by continually holding their parents up in prayer, by giving faithfully and generously to support their instruction in the Lord through the ministry of this church, and by providing them with a safe, peaceable, and holy environment as they grow in the journey of discipleship? Church Family: We will, with God’s help.
Communication/Training Platform
Does anyone use an online platform for training and communication for volunteers? One example is Lifeway’s Ministry Grid.

Also interested here. I haven't found a good way to connect with the first hour (S.S.) teachers. They tend to arrive at the last minute, and by the time Sunday School ends, I am already connecting with the 2nd-hour teachers. I feel like most of those 1st hour teachers are burning out.
Volunteer Kids
Hello! We have volunteers that bring their kids to serve with them. I love that they want to serve as a family and teach their kiddos how to serve in the church, but as far as safety and ratio I was curious what others do when it comes to this. This happens mainly when parents are serving in the nursery. Do kids need to be a certain age before serving with a parent? With nursery is it adult only volunteers?

We have a K-2 Children's Worship class, and volunteers occasionally bring their 3rd-5th-grade child as a sidekick. It is not ideal, but it has not caused too many issues. I am experiencing trouble with parents who serve in the Toddler nursery bringing their 4 or 5-year-old along instead of sending them to their appropriate class. They are simply too big and rowdy for the room, and it feels unsafe. Last week, I had to intervene and correct; it was awkward. I feel like making a strict rule against it feels heavy-handed, but I may need to.
Lifeway Gospel Project Inquiry
Our Kids Ministry Sunday School classes use Lifeway's Gospel Project curriculum. We currently buy the printed materials (teacher guides, Poster packs, student guides), but I think I would like to switch to a digital subscription to more easily accommodate last-minute subs and teacher changes, as well as benefit from the added materials. Is there anyone who has used both that can help me weigh out the costs & benefits? What we have now works, so I don't want to break it.

@Lauren Jackson Thank you! I was hoping the best feature wasn't the additional video content, because I don't have tv's in those classrooms. I'm happy there won't be leftover teacher guides and kid activity books for me to dispose of at the end of each quarter!
