The Antidote to Rising Misery: Creativity🎨
I read a recent study (ScienceAlert, August 2025) that revealed something shocking: misery is no longer peaking in mid-life. Instead, it’s spiking in young adults (ages 18 to 25.) Anxiety. Loneliness. Hopelessness. It’s rising faster in this age group than in any other. And it makes sense. Social media comparison. Economic stress. The uncertainty of AI taking over industries. Constant noise and pressure. Geez, no f***ing wonder so many feel lost, disconnected, and powerless. But here’s the truth I’ve come to know as a lifelong artist: 👉 Creativity is medicine. When you pick up a pencil and make a line, you’re not just drawing. You’re reconnecting with yourself. You’re stepping into presence. You’re making something that didn’t exist before. That’s power. That’s healing. Even more: - Creativity is a safe outlet for emotions that can’t always be put into words. - Creativity pulls us back into the here and now when our minds are stuck in the past or future. - Creativity gives us agency in a chaotic world… proof that we can create beauty, meaning, and story from nothing. - And in community, creativity replaces isolation with belonging. That’s what Infinite Artist is here for. Not just to teach drawing skills — but to help us remember that art is survival, expression, healing, and connection. The world doesn’t just need more “content.” The world needs more human creativity — yours, mine, ours. 💬 What about you? - How has creativity helped you through times of stress or loneliness? - What does art give you that nothing else does? Share your thoughts below — you never know who might need to hear your story today.

Work has been super stressful lately. I’m the head of my section, and a lot has compounded on me just recently. To be honest, my heart isn’t in it at all. I’ve been pushing myself to draw with a pen and notebook on my breaks. My drawings are imperfect and I laugh at the absurdity, characters look cross eyed, and have weird funky looking limbs. I was laughing so hard at what I drew yesterday, it took me out of the sour mood I was in before. It’s not my intention for coworkers to see my art but I’ve had a few look at my drawings or ask to see them, and I’ve had some pretty cool conversations come from it. I totally agree creativity puts us in the present, I feel most alive and myself while creating. I’m more sociable and I feel my best. I’m really intrigued with self-concept, and art definitely enlightens us on the self. Creativity is such great medicine. I’m so grateful for this community because I’m not only interested in exploring my own art, but I love exploring and engaging with others art too.

🎃 Welcome to 31 Nights in the Haunted Realm (Inktober on Skool)
Hey Infinite Artists!! 👻 This October, we’re going full-on Halloween Inktober Madness together 🎃👻💀👹 👉 Every single day, we’ll meet for a live 20-minute Zoom session where we sketch together. ( Zoom links will be in the CALENDAR above! ) 👉 Each day has a Halloween-themed prompt (think witches, shadows, vampires, and more). 👉 By the end of the month, all 31 prompts will connect into one big spooky narrative: The Haunted Realm. ⚡ Important: This is NOT about finishing a masterpiece. It’s about showing up, putting pen to paper, and making something every day( even if it's just 20 minutes!) The ritual matters more than the result. Here’s how it works: 1. I’ll post the daily prompt + short spooky blurb here in Skool. 2. We’ll hop on Zoom for 20 minutes and sketch together. 3. You can share your drawing in the comments of that day’s post. (No pressure—just fun to see everyone’s versions!) By Halloween night, we’ll have co-created an entire Haunted Sketchbook as a community. 🕸️ 💀 We begin October 1st with “The Key” … and from there, we unlock the Haunted Realm. Are you in? Drop a 🎃 or 👻 below if you’re joining us for the ride!

In my elementary school English classes, we’d get in groups, read a story and be assigned different tasks to interpret it. I always loved it when I was the Illustrator. These were done when I was 12. The fruit was an assignment in middle school, and I don’t even know what made me draw the guy with the rose, that was when I was 14.
