Well, I admit it - I don't always wear *all the gear all the time* I'm pretty responsible most of the time, but it gets *so hot* here, and if I'm just riding into town then I'll sometimes forego a jacket. And I'll put on a pair of shoes, not motorcycle boots. However - no matter how hot it gets (sometimes here it's 38 degrees, which is ok when you're moving, but uncomfortable when stationary) but anyway, I never ride without gloves. I'm quite fond of mine from LS2 - which I think offers pretty good quality gear at medium prices. I think I paid 60 euros for these, and after 2 years daily use they're not showing any real signs of wear and tear.

I think LS2 make good gear at affordable prices, in fact I just bought a new helmet from LS2, which was well reviewed and at a good discount. btw - it would be interesting to hear people's views on full face v open face helmets? I have both, open face (and goggles) on daily riding around the city, I use the full face on long trips, especially if I'll be on the motorway. There is talk here of bringing in legislation to make riding with suitable footwear and gloves mandatory, and to ensure use of full face helmets, although no laws have yet been passed.
