Biz to Biz Visitors Day (Flathead Valley)
Some of you all know that I am a part of a Networking Group called Biz to Biz and have been serving as the president of it for almost three years now in Kalispell. This is not to take away from this group at all, but after talking with @Rod Kuntz and submitting this to him for approval, I/we felt it could be a great opportunity for those in the Flathead Valley on Tuesday the 27th of January at Whitefish Credit Union Operating Center (1845 U.S. 93 South Kalispell, MT) at 0845-1000 a.m. to come share about their business. Please find the flyer attached and direct message me for any more details needed. Biz to Biz has been a great business development for myself and others and a great way to get the word out for your business in the Valley here. Please let me know if you have any questions. There are some industries already involved in the group, and is a first come first serve type policy for your specific industry, but still would love to get you more information and you are welcome to be at the visitors day to get a feel of what Biz to Biz is all about, as well. Again, this is not to take away from the involvement in the group, but simple to give another opportunity for you and your business (if local to Flathead Valley) to come share with other likeminded business leaders in the Valley. Thanks for viewing this and taking the time to consider it.

We don’t choose where we’re born, but we do get to choose where we live. This is the view (minus the rainbow) of my first visit to the Flathead Valley in 1978. I felt like I was home, and knew this is where I wanted to live. Then came a college stint, some escapades in the military, and in 1985 I moved here. I raised a family here; sent them off, welcomed them home, and got to watch them become parents and blossom into incredible adults. I didn’t know why this place felt like home, but I trusted my gut, followed my heart, took a lot of bruises along the way, and settled when others fled. Make your choice based on values and instinct. Then buckle in for the long, rocky and wonderful ride. When you know you are where you belong, where you are supposed to be, it’s easier to be content and avoid distractions. Work becomes your ally, not your master and everything you do can bring value to others. @Jim Riley @Rachel Svoboda @Rylee Kuntz @Chris Nash

@Rod Kuntz, yes! The peace that comes from when you know you are positioned and located right where you are meant to be goes a long way. I am grateful I feel that here and am being encouraged by many, plus this group, to be right where I belong. Now it's about stewarding that in this season the best I can.
The Journey to Why
I want to encourage the group a bit with something that came from a men's gathering I was at for breakfast one day in the Flathead Valley. We were talking and contributing to each other what we were hoping and dreaming about for in 2026. One thing that was common that resonated with me was that sometimes on our journeys we make a leap of faith into something, whether as a family, business, friendship, or all three sometimes and we don't have the full vision, but we see the end game. This was me in 2021 when I was taking a leap into the mortgage space instead of my career in medical. It didn't make sense to a lot of people, but after years put into it I could see the "WHY" I felt the nudge to do so. Not because of monetary reasons, though, it has been a lot better being in a blue sky industry, but because I am starting to feel more fulfilled in life because of it with amazing connections it has allowed me to foster, especially like this group. Going back to the breakfast what stood out to me is that sometimes, we see the "WHY" of our process after going through a season. What I hope for a lot of us this year that with our dreams, ambitions, hopes for family, and fill in the blank, this year marks a time and season that we see the "WHY" we decided to do what we do. May this year start off as a great establishment and fulfillment to those things going forward. Would love to hear your thoughts and hopes for the year. Cheers to the year ahead! **The row boat is because sometimes it's nice to see where you've come from and remember, while still looking over the shoulder into the future to make sure you are on course**

Hey @Rod Kuntz, this is also what happened to me. The "nudge" would help me realize now where I was supposed to be. Now I can rest knowing I am in His will for me going forward. Yes, things can shift from time to time, but this is a great reminder in the season for me. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and insight.

Thanks @Rylee Kuntz for sharing. What an encouragement for me to also realize that maybe how the world may define "success" isn't always where we need to be positioned, but maybe those in our business, family, and friends may need us to be for them. Thank you for sharing and encouraging me with your story and perspective. This really helps.
Relentless
"Relentless" as in the Tim Grover definition of the word. That is my word for the year. I love to "rally" around a thought or meaning behind a word. What stood out for me were the two follow statements in Tims introduction to the book. I have read it several times over the years. Here they are: "You don't wait to be told, you don't waver from your goal. When its time to act, instinctively and without hesitation." "In real life, being relentless is a state of mind that can give you the strength to achieve, to survive, to overcome, to be strong when others are not. It means craving the end result so intensely that the work becomes irrelevant. Not just in sports, but in everything you do." Go be Relentless...
