This one gives you plenty of room to mess around with the A minor pentatonic if you've got a looper. (Pro tip: No looper, no problem... Record yourself in a video/recorder of your choice i.e. your phone, an app or a website, and pop in headphones - voilá - you're looping and playing!) The progression: Am - F - C - G X3 Bm7♭5 - E7 (Then this one gives you the "turn around") On the Bm7♭5: This is the weird one. If you're playing it wrong, it'll sound weird right away. And if you're playing it right, it'll also sound weird right away. That's how you know you're on the path. 😆Just make sure all those notes are ringing out clean. On the E7: I'm setting it up so the shape kind of lives in my hand from the Bm7♭5. Pointer stays anchored, then I drop the other fingers into the E7 shape. It feels clumpy at first but I think it makes the transition sound melodically-smooth once you've got it. Loop it up and play some lead over top. Don't feel locked into the rhythm I'm playing... You could totally strum it however you want. Whatever feels good. Show me what you've got when you record it. Have fun with it! We'll see you in the comments!
