Roast my Practice Copy
I've been busy doing day 5 of my hand written ads and somehow felt the spirit itching to write down copy for practice. The first one is selling my favorite children's book to the group. Another one is if I'm selling a weight loss product I made myself 😆 I had fun making these like the ideas just kept coming and the Gods of copywriting are just beside me. 😁 Feel free to send your comments, feedback here or even on the doc (comment enabled). Come and Roast Me the Matthew Volkwyn Style Still studying, still writing, still going. Next action plan probably are - recreating a successful copy, more copy translation, and looking for clients with worse copy than I could create.

Hi Sammy, always one of the people who show up here. 🫡 Do note that I am also a "beginner" in this craft. Instead of a copywriter's eyes which I myself is still practicing.. I prefer to be your "potential customer" - someone who saw your ad and an aspiring copywriter who is looking for a course, community, or a coach that I can lean on. If I read the entire message, I know that you are giving me "good stuff education", however just reading the first few lines, a customer like me would ask "what's in it for me If I keep reading?" To me, the first sentences didn't connect with me / entice me to keep reading the next lines. That is all I can say as I am also a beginner like you but just thought of myself if I'm the one seeing your Ad somewhere. Let's rewatch the Fundamentals - keep hand writing copies. I think I've rewatched it myself for 4 times already 😅 And yes, let's keep showing up. I'll also post a copy myself in a bit for roasting 😆
Hand Copied Ads + Copy Translation
Writing while having classical background musics makes me at peace. It feels like I'm more connected to the writer than just reading the ad. ☺️ Been a while since I've written anything in the past years. I will commit to hand copy an ad per day. I'll also add my copy translation in the next few hours. I'm just excited to post this win for the day. Consider this my day 1 post and will update this with my hand copy on a daily basis. This + Fundamentals on a daily basis. ✅ Thankful I found Copywriting Launchpad. ⭐ Here's to all of us getting better everyday, helping clients (hopefully soon!) and living our best life. 💪

Day 5
do you handwrite these long copy?
I just started with legendary vault module in the classroom and I have a question: some copies are like really long magazine pages like the very first one is an entire article written by David Ogilvy so do we need to write it on paper the entire thing?

I've written the first one here on my day one post. Practicing and on my 4th day today. Looking forward to you sharing yours.
How to Choose a Copywriting Coach (Ask These 3 Questions)
Before you choose a coach—whether a copywriting coach, a boxing coach, or any coach—there are three questions you need to ask. Getting this wrong means following advice that is outdated, unproven, or simply misaligned with the life you want to build. Question 1: Do They Still Do What They Teach? The most important filter, especially for business and copywriting coaches, is whether they still make money doing the actual thing they teach — or whether coaching has become their primary income source. Many copywriting coaches and gurus did client work for a short period, saw early success, and immediately pivoted to full "guru mode." The problem is that the last time they dealt with real clients may have been ten or more years ago. That means they have no current knowledge of which offers are selling, which types of copy are working in the market right now, or how to navigate client relationships in today's environment. What @Matthew Volkwyn and Nabeel Azeez do: - Matthew still consults and does creative strategy for clients. - Nabeel still does email list management and cold traffic copy. Both coaches are active practitioners, not just teachers. Question 2: Do Their Students Get Results? It is one thing to get results for yourself. It is another to consistently help other people get results. The question to ask is whether the coach's students or mentees have actually achieved meaningful outcomes. Proof point from the episode: Between Nabeel and Matthew, they have helped approximately 100 copywriters reach $100,000 per year or more in income. Question 3: Do They Have the Life You Want? The right coach also depends on where you are in life and what you are trying to build. The lifestyle a coach models matters because it signals whether their advice and priorities will align with yours. - Matthew travels anywhere, anytime — a good fit for someone who wants location freedom. - Nabeel has a large family and several cats — a better fit for someone building a stable, home-based freelance career.

I have a recent experience seeing a copywriting guru flexing his wins but even AI (ChatGPT, Grok) finds him suspicious. Self claims and very little to no feedback of clients. On the other hand, @Nabeel Azeez and @Matthew Volkwyn are people I found out from someone who shared his wins on Facebook. He recommended them and also found one FB AD which is why I'm here. I REALLY MUST get clients soon so I can afford VIP (and maintain Premium monthly. 🫡) because I can't wait to be roasted by these great masters and keep hearing them on my head even as I sleep. 😆 For the meantime, I'm cleaning my X account (7000 spam following) and other social media before reaching out (possibly an action plan within the next 30 days). Also need to hone my Copy Skills on a daily basis. I'M SOOOO EXCITED TO WIN WITH EVERYONE HERE! ❤️

@Nabeel Azeez thanks for the tip :D I sub for a month, this will make it easier. I also updated my profile although I'm not yet done with the class vids for optimizing profile. This is not yet final - just a placeholder because I want to find clients ASAP.
