Chase hays Work in a dealership in Starkville, MS Started doing body work about 9 years ago, only painted here and there when necessary, but went full time painter about 2.5 years ago. I found your videos on YouTube, I think was your paint gun tier list. I had only recently got on Skool for another community, so when you mentioned it in this video I got excited about finding another community on here to be included in.
😂 I had way too much fun making this one
I just uploaded a video covering 5 masking techniques I wish I knew 20 years ago when I first started painting. None of these are crazy tricks. They're just simple things I do on almost every paint job that save time, make blending easier, and help avoid those "well... that was dumb" moments. 😅 If you're doing spot repairs or just want cleaner results without making more work for yourself, I think it might be helpful

Definitely gonna try that blade technique. I started doing like your false edge tape and running it on the fender leaving the folded edge exposed on the door side. I’ll shut the door and then use a filler spreader to push the folded edge into the door gap behind the door. There’s no adhesive on the door doing it this way but has seemed to work well.
