Bouncing and exporting midi tracks to audio in cubase.
Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone would know the answer... When I bounce midi out to audio and have pre-sample delay on a track, cubase cuts off the start of the sound. If I extend the midi region slightly it then captures it, but i was wondering if there was a setting I can change that will include it all, instead of me having to extend the midi region each time?

There might be a macro you could run each time?

First Track - I've just finished the Trailer Course and this is my first track after following Alex's template, arranging, mixing, mastering etc. The theme is 'flying' with an 80s vibe.

@Sean Walsh thanks for listening Sean. With the chord, do you mean right at the start or the start of the first section? I’ll also look at adding a few layers too.
What's your favorite DAW?
Hey everyone, here is a little action post I want to initiate: I am aware that a DAW is always a matter of taste. I am also aware that a DAW is only as good as the composer and in the end it really doesn't matter because the outcome is what really counts. Howeverrrrrrrrr .... 1. What is your favorite DAW/What is the DAW you are using? 2. Briefly explain why you like it or what features you like it for? Go! :)

@Alan MacRae the Steinberg crossgrade for their 40th anniversary was madness. I cross graded from S1 to C13 Pro for Ā£150!! I’ve just updated to 14 for Ā£85 so the whole package is literally half price. It wasn’t the only reason I purchased it though. Most of my friends use Cubase (though I’m constantly preaching to them how good S1 is) so sharing projects is much easier. In saying that, one great new feature in Cubase Pro 14 is the DAWProject format. You can import any Bitwig or S1 project directly into Cubase. Genius. I tried it earlier and it’s much quicker than rebuilding from a midi file.

@Mike Jones totally agree. It’s really easy to right click to get most of the actions / functions in S1 whereas in Cubase, I’m always clicking into the top menu. Drag & Drop is much better. File system is quicker than MediaBay, key switch implementation is cleaner and smarter. According to the performance meters, S1 also appears to be more resource efficient. I find in Cubase, I’m constantly stopping the music too as the cursor moves with the play head. I find that a nightmare. Zooming through keyboard shortcuts in Cubase also slows me down.
