I need to become physically dominant. No one can knock me down, push me off a puck, skate faster, that's the main objective. Becoming an impeccable force for my team.
Movement Lab Focus: Awareness First
Before we fix skating, shooting, or movement, we need awareness. Today, athletes should think about one thing: What does my body do when I get tired? Do I stand taller? Do my feet slow down? Do I lose my edge control? Do I stop moving my feet? Movement side quest: After your next skate, write down one thing your body does when tired.

It craves the feeling of soreness or fatigue, kind of like a reward system. I struggle to know and understand that you can achieve progress and move the goalpost without feeling destroyed.
Start Here: Welcome to Maverick ( Click Here First )
Welcome to the Maverick Athlete Development Hub. This is where athletes, parents, coaches, and clubs come together to build confidence, focus, resilience, preparation, and self-awareness. Start with these three steps: Step 1: Go to the Classroom tab and open Start Here: Your Maverick Path. Step 2: Watch the welcome video and complete your first 369 reflection. Step 3: Come back here and introduce yourself. Introduce yourself with: Name: Team/Club: Position: One mindset area I want to improve: Remember: Maverick is not about being perfect. It is about learning how to respond.

My name is Charis, defenseman with the Amarillo Wranglers Na3. One area I am working on improving is being more balanced in the way that I am pursuing my goals. By dipping my feet in multiple areas I can work on more things at once, which will help me become more seasoned. I struggle with going all in on things, and having tunnel vision, rather than being open to possibilies in multiple realms.
