Good Morning Godly Wives!🩷 True intimacy with your husband is birthed out of intimacy with God. A wife cannot give healthy intimacy to her husband if she is not first connected to God because God must be her Source and anything/anyone we place before God becomes an idol. God will never allow an idol to give you what only He can, so there will always be chaos instead of peace. Matthew 6:33 (KJV) “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” The right order is: 1.God 2. Your heart 3. Your husband You can't pour from an empty cup. When you prioritize time with God, He fills you with: * Peace * Patience * Love * Wisdom * Joy *Everything you need Then you are able to pour that into your marriage. Examples * Instead of venting to your husband first, pray first. * Instead of looking to your husband to calm you, ask God for peace. 📝 Challenge 1. Spend 5-10 intentional minutes with God (pray, read a verse, or worship). 2. Ask God to fill your heart with what you need. 3. Then show love to your husband from that place(lift a prayer for him, verbally compliment him, do something unexpected & remove yourself from the outcome. Do it out of reverence for the Lord not based on whether or not he deserves it). ✅️Comment GOD FIRST when done.
