TODAY we FOCUS
Where attention goes, energy follows. Most people do not lack motivation; their attention is simply scattered, pulled in too many directions at once by phones, people, fear, possibility, pressure, the next idea, unfinished conversations, and the mistakes they keep replaying. When everything feels important, nothing receives your full presence. This week, we train focus—not by forcing concentration, becoming rigid, or shutting everything else out, but by developing the ability to choose where your attention goes and stay connected to that choice. Focus is the ability to say: This is where I am going now. And remain in relationship with that decision, even when something tries to pull you away. Because under challenge, attention naturally drifts—to a sound, a thought, a mistake, a notification, someone else’s reaction, or the fear of doing it wrong—and suddenly your body is here, but your attention is somewhere else. This is where training begins, not when you are perfectly focused, but in the moment you notice: “I left.” And choose to return. This week, observe what pulls you first: whether your eyes search for something else, your mind jumps ahead, a single mistake takes you out, or you chase what feels urgent instead of staying with what matters, abandoning your body in the process. We practice staying with one point, one rhythm, one direction, one chosen task, and then gradually introduce distraction—more input, more noise, more change—so that focus becomes a skill you can maintain under pressure. The question is not whether you can concentrate perfectly, but whether you can choose what deserves your attention and stay with it. Can you notice distraction without following it, make a mistake without giving it all your energy, feel pressure without letting it decide for you, and return to what matters again and again? This is focus—not the absence of distraction, but the ability to return. Your practice this week is simple: before you begin any task, pause and ask yourself,

So challenging! It seems so much “easier” to go with the distraction.
Real change is not only a new attitude
A new attitude matters because it can shift how you see yourself and your life. It opens a door to new possibilities and perspectives that were not available before. But real change asks for something more than just a shift in mindset: A new behavior that you are willing to practice consistently. A new choice that aligns with the life you want to create. A new response that reflects your growth in real situations. A new pattern repeated enough times that the body begins to believe it and trust it. You can understand everything on an intellectual level. You can journal about it and reflect deeply on your experiences. You can have the realization that something needs to change. You can say: “I need boundaries in my life so I can protect my energy.” “I need rest so my body can recover and feel safe.” “I need to stop overriding my body when it signals discomfort.” “I need to move more so I can feel alive and connected.” “I need to breathe more intentionally throughout my day.” “I need to choose myself even when it feels uncomfortable.” But the body learns through what we actually practice in our daily lives. Not once as a single effort. Not perfectly as an ideal standard. Repeatedly over time with patience and consistency. This is where many people get stuck in their growth process. They think awareness itself is the change they are looking for. Awareness is actually just the beginning of change. Behavior is where change becomes embodied and real. So instead of asking yourself: “How do I change my whole life all at once?” Ask yourself: “What is one behavior I can practice today that supports my growth?” Not ten different things at once. One simple and manageable action. Examples: When I notice my jaw clenching, I will gently soften it by about 5%. When I feel overwhelmed, I will place both feet on the floor and ground myself. When I want to say yes too quickly, I will pause and take one intentional breath. When I feel myself rushing, I will consciously slow down one movement.

One minute of breathing before I start my work. Thank you for this!

@Zina Zinchenko I did pretty well last week, though I resisted it and tried to justify not doing it. This week I am keeping on with it. Practice, practice.
Let’s talk about Responsibility.
Not the kind that feels heavy. Not the kind that says, “Everything is your fault.” Not the kind that creates shame. I am talking about the kind of responsibility that gives your power back. Because there is a difference between blaming yourself and owning your choices. Blame freezes the body. It says: “I failed.” “I am behind.” “I should have known better.” “What is wrong with me?” Responsibility breathes differently. It says: “Now that I can see this pattern, what choice is available?” “Now that I know this drains me, what boundary do I need?” “Now that I understand my body is overwhelmed, what support can I create?” “Now that I see the old loop, what is the next small action?” Responsibility is not punishment. It is participation. It is the moment you stop waiting for the perfect mood, the perfect timing, the perfect apology, the perfect energy.

I never thought of it this way. I am thinking through this as I never viewed these responses as blame. Your writings are immensely helpful, even having had 10+ years of talk therapy.
🌿 Wanting Is Not Choosing
Sometimes the thing you say you want was already available. The free challenge. The free practice. The free reset. The invitation. And still… you didn’t do it. 👉 Not because you’re lazy. But because part of you may still prefer what is familiar. Even if familiar means tension. Pain. Exhaustion. The same old loop. 👉 This is not shame. This is information. Real change asks for more than wanting. It asks for: discipline patience repetition courage follow-through You can want change for years…or you can begin with one small action today. ‼️ Ask yourself: Am I truly not ready? Or am I protecting the familiar? Your body needs proof that change is safe. Give it proof. Wanting is not choosing. 👉 Action is. What is one small action you can take today?

🌿 Monday - Before you say a word
… your body has already told the story. The way you walk into a room. The way your shoulders sit. The way your breath moves… or doesn’t. The way your eyes land… or avoid. All of that speaks. And most of the time, it’s not something you chose consciously. It’s something your body learned. From stress. From habits. From past experiences. From trying to hold it together. So when you’re working on a scene or a character, sometimes the block is not in the text. It’s in the body that is trying to protect you while you’re trying to express something real. That’s why we start here. Not by pushing emotion. Not by forcing performance. 👉 But by asking: 👉 What is my body doing right now? 👉 What is it holding? 👉 What is it protecting? 👉 What is it not allowing? Because once you see it… You have a choice. You can stay in the pattern. Or you can begin to shift it. And that’s where your range opens. 👉 🌿 Small Monday Practice Before you say a word : Pause. Take one breath. Notice: Is your jaw tight? Are your shoulders lifted? Is your breath shallow? Are you already “doing” something? Then soften just 5%. And speak from there. 💬 Reflection 👇 What did you notice in your body today? 👇

I find it hard to soften and I seem to have resistance to doing things I believe will help. Like I am stuck on being stuck. I assume that means I believe it’s necessary or that I get something from it but, wow, am I tired of it. It’s exhausting mentally and physically.

@Robby Ron son Hi! In the past, possible, yes, but not now. I think it may be burnout in general. I had to look at the picture as I had no idea… Not even sure when or why I chose that.
