June is National Homeownership Month, and this year, we have even more reason to celebrate. June 15, 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the HUD Code, the federal standard that transformed manufactured housing into what it is today: a real, quality-built, regulated path to homeownership for millions of American families. Ways to celebrate this month: **Host a first-time buyer education event. **Walk potential buyers through what manufactured homeownership really looks like, costs, financing, process, and what to expect. **Host a tour of your sales center, community neighborhood, or factory. Let people see the quality with their own eyes. **Throw a neighborhood block party. **Celebrate the community spirit that makes manufactured home neighborhoods special. A cookout goes a long way. **Share a homeowner story on social. **Interview a resident. Ask them what homeownership has meant for their family. Post it. Real voices change more minds than any statistic. ****June 15 — mark your calendar**** The HUD Code turns 50 this month. Since June 15, 1976, every manufactured home built in America has been held to a federal construction and safety standard. That changed everything , and it's worth celebrating out loud.
