I’ll go first… I’m on vacation, but I’m making sure that I start my day off with the proper nutrition and some kind of movement. I’ll get back to real life next week, but it feels good to stay on track this week too.

So let me ask y’all something… If a brand new person joined this group today and said: “Coach… I’m tired of starting over. What’s the ONE thing I should focus on first?” What would you tell them? I wish somebody had taught me earlier on that. It’s OK to take baby steps. Focus on the basics. And just start building tiny habits.
Motivation is for losers.
There I said it. I know that’s not something people want to hear. But I’m gonna call it like it is. Anybody who works out most days of the week and has been doing it for a long time knows that by Thursday you are tired. You are ready for a break. You do not feel like going to the gym. You do not feel like pressing play. You do not feel like lacing up your running shoes. But you don’t need to feel like it. You just need to do it. If you are waiting around to feel motivated, you are going to lose every single time.
Motivation is for losers.

I felt just as good today as I do any other day. And I actually had a really great workout. But I’ve had some conversations recently with people who say things to me like. I really need to work out, but I just can’t get motivated or I wish I had your motivation. And I understand what they’re saying. But I just want to scream from the rooftops. It’s not about motivation. It’s about doing the work. So if you’re waiting around for motivation, you’re gonna be waiting forever and you’re gonna lose your chance to make any kind of change.
