16 years - funny thing is that I never ever thought about it. I had been peppering enough pins in the prior 6 mths so I figured it was about time #mathiscool
Mirrors 🪞
Golf, in its essence, is more than just a game; it is a profound reflection of the human spirit. The fairways and greens serve as a canvas where the complexities of one's character are vividly painted. Why does golf reveal so much about a person and expose the multifaceted nature of their personality? And why does it act as an x-ray of the soul? Throughout the years, I have found that the golf course is a unique arena where true character is unveiled. Whether in personal life, potential friendships, or business relationships, I have always made it a point to spend time with individuals on the golf course. This sacred ground allows me to observe their integrity, their honour, their ability to self-referee, and how they conduct themselves when faced with adversity. The game of golf, with its inherent challenges and unpredictability, strips away the superficial layers and reveals the core of one's being. It is in the moments of triumph and defeat, in the silence between swings, that the true essence of a person is laid bare. I invite every member to share their thoughts and experiences. How has golf served as a mirror to your soul? What have you discovered about yourself and others on the course? Let us delve into the philosophical depths of this timeless game and uncover the wisdom it imparts. 🌌⛳ Looking forward to hearing your reflections. 😊

What’s your thoughts around failure?
Federer won nearly 80% of his matches, but only 54% of the points he played. Almost half the time, even at his peak, he was “failing.” Tiger Woods was ranked 175th in hitting the fairway, yet he was number one in recovering from the rough. Kobe Bryant missed more shots than anyone in NBA history. These stories remind us that failure is not a sign that something is wrong. It’s an ordinary part of competing at the highest level. What separates the greats is not that they avoid mistakes, but that they accept them, reset quickly, and fully commit to the next moment. The same applies whether you’re on a sports field or in business. You can prepare as well as possible, and still, setbacks will come. The invitation is to treat failure as part of the process—and to keep showing up with clarity for the next point, the next pitch, the next step. I have long been inspired by the wise words of one of the world's greatest leaders, Nelson Mandela: "I never lose, I either win or learn" #mosspigletsrule
