🥁 DRUMROLL PLEASE Lesson 4 of Workflows & SOPs is Ready!
Lesson 4 is now available in the classroom 🎉 We made it to the final lesson in the Workflow to SOP sprint. This week, we’re taking the SOP you drafted and setting it up so it can actually be used in your business. We’ll look at where the SOP should live, who owns it, who needs access, what materials need to be linked or created, how to introduce it to your team, and how to review it after it’s been tested with real work. This is the part that helps your SOP become more than a document sitting in a folder. Your assignment this week is to complete the Week 4 setup worksheet and decide how this SOP will be launched, reviewed, and kept useful. Click here to head to the classroom to watch the lesson and download the worksheet. And if you’d like feedback, post your SOP title, owner role, review date, and one supporting material you still need to create or update. I’d love to see what you’re building. ~Cris

I am excited to check this out!!!
Question for business owners from someone working in marketing
I was trying to figure out how to ask this question and realized this group probably has the exact perspective I need. When you first started delegating marketing, what helped you build trust in the person handling it? I sometimes work with businesses where approvals still need to go through the owner for almost everything, even when the strategy, voice, and expectations are already established. From your side as an owner, what helped you get comfortable stepping back a bit? Was it consistency, reporting, communication, results, fewer mistakes over time, or something else? I appreciate any feedback!

Hi Nicole, from my experience as a decision maker within an organization that outsourced marketing this is a very nuanced question. I really think it comes down to relationship and in the beginning there must be a really intentional Relationship building strategy to ensure that messaging, tone, and initial assets align with the vision of the company. The nuance sneaks in when the organization doesn’t have clear messaging established, which is why they probably hired you in the first place! Ultimately though I think it all boils down to establishing strong relationships with lots of communication early on in the partnership.
UPDATED Pomodoro Timer
**I have updated the timer, I published it as a web app. It will work in your web browser or on your phone. Get it here.** Hello everyone! When I was in school, I really enjoyed using the Pomodoro Method for doing deep work. So, I built a simple timer you can use in a desktop browser. Head over to the Tool Library in the classroom to find it, along with instructions on how to use it and an overview of the Pomodoro Method. I'll be using this in the Co-Work sessions as well. Feedback is always welcome and appreciated! 😊 ~Cris

I love the Pomodoro method! This method really helped me with my dissertation writing to ensure I stayed discipline. I also really enjoy writing groups/working groups that create accountability during the deep block sessions to make sure I don’t go down a rabbit hole 🕳️ 😆 I look forward to checking out this timer resource you’ve created!
🚀 Welcome! Introduce Yourself Here.
Hello, and welcome to the Leadership Systems Studio! The intention of this community is to create a collaborative space for business owners to gather, learn, and grow together. While the premise is built on developing leadership skills, we also work on team building and systems development. There will be lots of different owners at various levels. Your experience will really matter to someone else, so don't be shy about joining conversations or asking your own questions. This is your space to say hello. In a comment, tell us a bit about yourself and your business. Once you're done, comment on one or two others' posts to keep the welcome train going. Can't wait to see what we build together, Cris
