Something Fun: HEADLINES (Try it!)
There's a fun activity I love to do in sessions I facilitate called 'Headlines'. Basically, you think about headlines you'd love to see about your business in one, three, and five years from now. Participants say it's one of their favourite activities! 'Headlines' allows us to dream without the limitations we are so good at putting on ourselves. So I challenge you: What headline(s) would you love to see about your business, organization, Skool community, etc.? Take 10 minutes to dream. Share your headlines in the comments below so we can dream right along with you. (Mine are in the comments, too.)

I was so excited when I saw this fun post! Here is mine: 1️⃣ Year Nicole McDonald is a highly sought-after marketing strategist you hire when you need to move the needle. She remains fully booked with a waitlist. 3️⃣ Years Nicole McDonald, the "Miles Finch" of Marketing (sorry for the Buddy the Elf reference, it is an inside joke with my hubby), with a proven track record. She is the person you bring in for projects that need results. Your budget and ability to plan ahead should be strong enough to book her. 5️⃣ Years Nicole McDonald, the hardest marketing innovator to get a booking with. Nicole takes a limited number of marketing clients annually and focuses most of her time on connecting people and the community online and in person at her rancho in Costa Rica.
Would you help me with a brief review?
Hello, fellow leaders! In my quest to promote and grow this group, I am hoping you can help me with something simple. If you've received any value from me and/or this community, would you mind taking a few minutes to write a brief review? I've created a quick survey with five questions to choose from (👉🏻 you only need to choose one 👈🏻). The questions are nice and quick; they are: 1. What has been a valuable part of this community for you? 2. Who might get the most value from this community? 3. What is one thing this community has helped you think about differently in your business or your leadership practice? 4. What would you tell another service business owner who is thinking about joining the Leadership Systems Studio? 5. Write your own! :) If you're not shy, go ahead and comment below or click here to submit to me privately. These reviews will be used in the slides on the About page, as well as in ads and other digital marketing materials. I'd like to use your first name and last initial to maintain credibility while protecting your privacy. Sincerest of thank yous if you get a chance to spare a few minutes. I appreciate it very much! ~Cris

Absolutely! Every time I step into The Leadership Systems Studio, I leave with a nugget of knowledge that changes how I approach my work, workflows, or leadership. As someone with more than 25 years in business and marketing, I only wish something like this had existed when I started. Cris has created a roadmap for the transition from starting a business to leading one, covering the skills and challenges you do not even know you'll face until you're there. This stuff is gold.
Question for business owners from someone working in marketing
I was trying to figure out how to ask this question and realized this group probably has the exact perspective I need. When you first started delegating marketing, what helped you build trust in the person handling it? I sometimes work with businesses where approvals still need to go through the owner for almost everything, even when the strategy, voice, and expectations are already established. From your side as an owner, what helped you get comfortable stepping back a bit? Was it consistency, reporting, communication, results, fewer mistakes over time, or something else? I appreciate any feedback!

UPDATED Pomodoro Timer
**I have updated the timer, I published it as a web app. It will work in your web browser or on your phone. Get it here.** Hello everyone! When I was in school, I really enjoyed using the Pomodoro Method for doing deep work. So, I built a simple timer you can use in a desktop browser. Head over to the Tool Library in the classroom to find it, along with instructions on how to use it and an overview of the Pomodoro Method. I'll be using this in the Co-Work sessions as well. Feedback is always welcome and appreciated! 😊 ~Cris

Just reading about how you use the Pomodoro Timer flagged a couple of correctable habits for me, thanks. And you know I am using it :)
🗳️ Vote on Our First Leadership Design Sprint
Hello everyone! Our first Leadership Design Sprint begins on April 21. This is a four-week quarterly challenge for members who want to go a little deeper into leadership, team, or systems topics without turning it into a huge project. It goes beyond what we do in the Leadership Systems Lab, while still feeling focused, doable, and useful. Which sprint would help you make the most progress right now? Read through the list and vote in the poll. 1️⃣ Feedback & Accountability Design Sprint Build clear feedback habits and stronger follow-through. 2️⃣ Team Communication Design Sprint Reduce confusion and improve day-to-day team coordination. 3️⃣ Workflow & SOP Design Sprint Document key workflows so work runs more smoothly. 4️⃣ Buy-In & Ownership Design Sprint Create stronger ownership, commitment, and team follow-through. 5️⃣ Consistency by Design Sprint Set clear standards your team can actually maintain. Or something else?

I make complicated marketing easy to understand. I listen first, simplify the mess, and turn ideas into systems that work.
