Black Tears
In honor of Black history month, I decided to share this piece. This piece is not an advocate to hate or promote hatred. It simply addresses how African Americans have come such a long way from the oppressions of slavery. Honorable leaders like MLK that took a non-violence approach to push the Civil Rights movement, as well as others should be commended. So to honor February, which is Black History month ( I am part African-American) I give you Black Tears. Black Tears Bodies hit the ground as black tears come running down Black faces Black hatred dispersed in black spaces as black on black crime explodes in media headlines infiltrating black minds erasing black memories of black history of Martin and Malcolm and all that we’ve overcome and all the battles we have won Have we forgot that we are one? We come from the same places. We wear the same black faces. Have we been taught by those who hate us black cannibalism, caused my division? while they sit and cheer as we cry our black tear
