Velocity Based Training (VBT)
If you haven't I encourage you all to read through the linked VBT article from this past week's research review. While it wasn't ground breaking in it's relatively lower power findings that VBT and % based training produced equivalent hypertrophy, it has me curious who all out there is using VBT in a bodybuilding context? I know it is much more prevalent in sports performance and powerlifting realms, but with the affordability of mobile based devices improving and further understanding of autoregulation and fatigue management driving a lot of bodybuilding progressions as of late I'm curious if we will see more VBT approaches in the near future.

I’d try this.. having a more objective metric would seem to be valuable especially when recovery is limited.

Pain and how it works
What questions do you have about pain? I’m happy to answer the questions about how it works, what brings it on and helps it go away biologically. Think of this like how Eric helms explains muscle growth

@Jacob Templar ok tell me how to find out more. I’ve got RA… there’s going to be times shit hurts and there’s not a lot I can do except doing what I can. Being mentally ready for that would be my best option.

Core exercises that involve lying on the floor.. I legit hate these a lot. I don’t like being on the floor bc it’s gross (pretty sure the mats are even more gross than the floor.. why they are always porous is something I will never understand) and also once I’m laying there it completely kills my flow. My brain just goes “oh we are lying down now.. relax.. there’s no rush for anything..” and it’s a whole ordeal to get up and get moving again mentally. It’s silly, but it’s true. 🤷
Collaboration
This type of community runs on collaboration and engagement, help us help you! For the clinicians, let me know your most difficult case from this week! For the athletes/trainees, what movement is giving you the most issues in your programming?

My foot continues to be an issue. Even doing heavy leg curls pisses off whatever nerve is irritated. The 3rd distal phalanx visually to me seems to be curving laterally. A podiatrist told me this wasn’t concerning, but I’m not convinced. Is there anything I can do to strengthen this area or at least make it less reactive? I’ve made efforts to focus on walking and running through my big toe more as it did seem like I was consistently rolling around it previously and for awhile that seemed to be helping, but all the time on my feet lately has been brutal on my foot.
