It sucked because these were people who had already been bounced from provider to provider for months, sometimes years. Every scan came back "normal." Every doctor said it was "just anxiety" or that they'd have to learn to live with it. Watching people get dismissed over and over, and knowing how hard it was for them to even access the care they needed because of the exact symptoms they were trying to treat, was brutal.
