I’m 47. Have written and managed millions for others. For the last 15 years of 25+ years I have been doing this with 4 kids as a single often solo mom. I taught for Tiago Forte as he was writing Build a Second brain and when I tell you people really liked my approach because I wasn't some young millennial who owned their time. Tiago and Lauren were just about to have baby #1 and I knew it was all about to shift. I wasn't trying to quit my job and I was working in higher education administration writing and implementing federal grants. My second brain and productivity stack had everything to do with needing to hold on to my sanity and showing up for each role that I carried. It was really my AI Agent before AI came along so I overstand. Now my kiddos are 24, 22, 19, and 14. The 14 yo is doing high school with his dad across country. I resigned from institutional salaried positions last year and now for the first time in my adult life I have room to pursue me. I’ve had high ticket offer for years. But this is the first time I have completely owned my work. I’m excited to finally be in the space fulltime and better rested.

@Abbey Strodtbeck - Yes!! we don't all have the same 24 hours per day. Some hours are worth a pound, some hours are treated like the dollar, and others are treated like a peso. Just because I have 24 pesos in my hand and another has 24 pounds, it's still a different conversation. It's about how much agency and ownership you have over your time, and the average person doesn't actually own all 24 hours of their day. I'd like to use Beyonce as an example. Beyonce can use her private jet for an hour to get to work. Whereas I have to a hour into work. What I can get done in that hour compared to what she can get done. Who has the stronger hour? Not judging, but telling people who have to clock into a job that they have the same 24 as those who get to set their own schedules - it’s not a fair comparison. When I was in upper administration at a college in the South, I had to get four children under the age of 11 out of the house before 8:00. I was the only person at the leadership table who had children that were school-age. I had to stop comparing myself to my colleagues because we didn't have the same 24 hours.
