Growing your own
It's been a great day still warm but not like last two days. Put the 8ftx2ft 18mm ply piece down in the shed, tried to move the 8ftx4ft but it's too heavy for me, will have to get my son to help but I need to put braces underneath to stop the floor bouncing with it being a large span. Two compost bins sorted, weeds picked at bottom and top of garden (just middle to do tomorrow), found an old bbq, it's at front of drive for scrap man. Two raised beds dug over, manured and topped up, then cardboard over. My back is killing me, resting now. Start again tomorrow. Hopefully it's like today weatherwise

@Mary Roach where did you get your worm towers from please. I'm speed to do something in garden today but it's gone hot again, I'm a bit of a vampire where the sun is concerned, so it's too hot for me.

Compost
Whilst I'm off work this week and now it's chilled a bit iv been down bottom of my neglected garden sorting the pallet compost bins. Dug out the tree fallout put to side, dug out the compost to transfer to the bin next to it. Put twigs and tree fallout back into empty bin, will add weeds to the twig section, I'm thinking the twigs will help stop the weed growing and hopefully they will decompose instead of taking root. Will this work?
Potatoes
hi all of you, i hope you are having a good time with all your gardens.i have one question, to which nobody seems to have an answer. i started my potatoes with bought seed potatoes, but on the long run i do not want to buy all the time seed potatoes. any idea what i can do, so that i do not have to buy any seed potatoes anymore?

I'm new here and just posted about spuds. I had some in my fridge that were going soft and they had sprouted, I cut them into four with a sprout on each section, planted them and prayed.... they seem to have grown, kept covering them they're in large pots/buckets, will see how they are soon, it may be a disaster or it may be a success
Thankyou
Thankyou for showing me to join I've got potatoes in from sprouted ones from my fridge, will see how they do. I've got onions in beds, with cabbage waiting to transplant, broccoli too.. well see how these go but the last two years have been a disaster everything fitted possibly because my time was needed elsewhere after work and at weekend. Hope to pick up some tips from you guys.
