Love that tree bark and the little flag. Any special tips for plein air success? Did you have a pre-plan for scene you wanted to create?

Great texture in the trees and grass. Do you paint grass in your landscape in a linear way- dragging the brush across the paper? Do others have a preference in how they create grassy areas?

Love the shading values in the bark and the observer’s clothing. My imagination wants to go see where the back fence goes! Love the sky.

I noticed the white lines in the water- they add a surface reflection, which gives depth. The trees look alive!
