Hey there
Hey all! I’m James, writing dark fantasy romance and fairytale re-tellings. Right now I’m working on the second draft edit of a dark urban fantasy romance novel title "Invitation to The Wild," which I plan to turn into a series. This month I want to get more of my edits done and possibly someone to beta-read the first draft (to give me outside thoughts) and my second draft edits as I do them. I'm also currently a full time special education major, working full time in special education, and a parent, so I don't always feel like i have the time to do this stuff. I'm working on it though, surviving 💪

Hey James, first off, respect. You’re juggling drafts, a full-time special ed load, real-life responsibilities, and building a series? That’s not surviving—that’s quietly heroic. Speaking author-to-author: when life is this full, the smartest move isn’t grinding harder, it’s outsourcing strategically. A solid beta reader or developmental editor can take pressure off your mental stack and keep Invitation to The Wild moving without draining your energy. Think of it as creative leverage, not cutting corners. If you can, I’d recommend bringing in an expert beta reader/editor, someone used to dark fantasy romance who can: - Give clean, actionable feedback (not vibes-only opinions) - Catch pacing and character beats while you’re deep in revision mode - Let you focus on writing instead of second-guessing every chapter - That way, your edits stay stress-light, your momentum stays intact, and the series vision doesn’t get lost in the chaos of daily life. You’re building something long-term here. Protect your bandwidth. Let support do its job.One page at a time, you’ve got this Looking forward to your response!!
こんにちは (Konnichiwa)!Little intro : )
Hello!! My name is Dizzy, John, or Kes(trel). I'm working on various short stories that I've been horribly struggling to finish, LOL. They are all fantasy stories, based in the universe of Wings Of Fire, starring OCs I've made. I also do various collaborative works (roleplays) with my friends! This following month (February), I want to atleast finish one of these stories.
