The Core AEO Strategy You Need to Know
Let's get very practical for a second here. Look at your product titles. Are they like this? OLD WAY (SEO): "Leather Wallet RFID Blocking Slim Minimalist Bifold for Men" This is a list of attributes. An AI has to work to piece this together. AEO is about making it easy for the AI. Frame it as an answer. NEW WAY (AEO): "The best slim, minimalist leather wallet for men with RFID blocking is the [Your Product Name]." See the difference? The first is a list of parts. The second is a complete thought. It's a direct answer to a potential question like "What's the best slim RFID wallet?" Go through your top 3 listings. Rewrite the titles as if you were answering a question. The change is small, but the impact is MASSIVE.

I'm thinking about how to fit an AEO optimized title inside Amazon's 60-character titles for POD listings. I asked Perplexity and it is having a little of a hard time finding the right way 😄 If only we could have a tool that does it for us... right? 🤩

🚨 The 'Answer' to Why Your Designs and Digital Products Are Lost in Search And Not Selling
If your ecommerce products have stopped selling (or never started), it's not because your skills have changed. It's because the internet has changed. Organic search is collapsing. Ads cost more and convert less. People are not “Googling and scrolling” like they used to. They are asking AI. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and other AI engines are quickly stealing attention from Google and Amazon. They do not reward old-school SEO. They reward clear, direct, answers. That shift is called Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). When your listings and content are AEO-ready, AI engines surface you in their answers, recommend your work, and send you buyers you never would have reached. Right now, billions of AI searches are happening that could lead to you. But you are invisible. A year ago I watched agencies start charging 5–10k a month to “fix” this with tools you could run yourself. That made me angry enough to build something better. It is called First Answer. First Answer is a full AEO system built for creators, not agencies. It plugs into leading AI models, bakes in best practices from millions of data points, and helps you rewrite your products and content so AI engines can finally find you. In beta, creators using First Answer saw: ✅ Traffic jump over 1,000% ✅ Sales increase 300% ✅ Social engagement multiply several times over Most people paying for AEO right now spend around $1,700 a month. I cut that to $17. I recorded a training that walks through what is happening to search, why AEO is the next 12–18 month land grab, and how First Answer helps you update what you already have instead of starting from scratch. The window is short. In a year or two, everyone will be scrambling to retrofit their entire catalog for AI discovery. I'm going to help you get there first. Check out: https://www.firstanswerai.com

This is such an amazing tool! Amazing! It looks like the next step. Thanks for building it, Michael. It's currently out of my budget, but it goes directly into my Bucket List 🫠
10 Staggering Stats on AEO
If you think AEO is something you can “get to later,” these numbers should wake you up fast. The next few years are going to reshape how people discover brands, products, answers, and authority online. ✅ By the end of 2026 (yes, THIS YEAR), traditional search engine volume is projected to drop 25% as users shift toward AI chatbots and virtual agents. ✅ By 2027, mobile app usage is projected to fall 25% as AI assistants increasingly handle tasks that once required users to open apps themselves. ✅ By 2028, brands are projected to lose 50% or more of their organic search traffic as consumers embrace generative AI-powered search experiences. ✅ By 2028, agentic AI is expected to make 15% of day-to-day business decisions, up from almost nothing just a few years earlier. ✅ By 2028, agentic AI is expected to be embedded in 33% of enterprise software applications, which means AI-assisted discovery and decision-making will be built into the tools businesses already use. ✅ By 2027, organizations are expected to use small, task-specific AI models at least 3 times more than general-purpose models, which is a huge signal that precision, context, and relevance are becoming more valuable than generic output. ✅ By 2027, 75% of new analytics content is expected to be contextualized for intelligent applications through generative AI, which means AI-ready information structures are becoming the norm, not the edge case. ✅ By 2029, agentic AI is expected to resolve 80% of common customer service issues without human intervention, meaning AI will increasingly become the first point of contact between brands and customers. ✅ By 2029, that same shift is projected to reduce customer service operating costs by 30%, which means businesses will have a major financial incentive to keep pushing harder into AI-first systems. ✅ In 2026 alone, AI-powered ad spend in the U.S. is projected to jump 63% to $57 billion, which shows just how aggressively brands are moving toward AI-driven visibility and performance.

These numbers! I feel so lucky to be here, early enough to get everything ready for the shift that is already happening. I can't thank you enough, Michael, for having the vision and will to open this community. Oh, by the way, I love witnessing the times we are living in now. Astonishing, seriously.
The 'Just Add More Content' Fallacy
I see this advice everywhere. 'Just add a huge FAQ! Write a 3000-word blog post!' This is a fundamental misunderstanding of how Answer Engines work. They don't want a novel. They want structured, clear, verifiable data. A messy, bloated page is actually *harder* for an AI to parse. It introduces noise and potential contradictions. It's not about *more* content; it's about *clearer* and *better structured* content. Think facts, data, and direct statements. Not words for the sake of filler or to hit some arbitrary word / character count. That's absolutely, positively ABSURD! Have you ever bloated a page with content just to hit a word count or stuff keywords? If so, you're not alone! I've been there and in years past, I thought that was the way! But now we've learned better -- or at least we should have!

Great post, Michael. I think we've all been there! And I am glad we can finally abandon the filler way.
