I did a thing!
Ok, I did a lot of things that led up to this big thing. This week, I reached a weight that I never imagined I'd see again. The last time I was in the 130s I was 21 years old at my wedding almost 15 years and three kids ago. When I started this journey in July (and all the times I unsuccessfully tried losing weight before that), I never even really aimed to get back to this point. And when I think about the fact that I am in considerably better shape now than I was then (I was thin but not strong), I can't really believe I'm here. I honestly thought after turning 30, having my third kid, and finding my first gray hair it would be all down hill from thereπŸ˜† but here I am living my best life at 36 and feeling pretty darn good about myself. Also, I killed my step count today so that feels pretty cool too😊 Thank you @Darren Liu and all of you so much for all the love and support you put out there. It means more than words can sayπŸ–€

The best part is, this is only the beginning of your new health and fitness journey. Onwards and upwards only from here on out πŸ’ͺπŸ”₯ @Kathleen Haney
Short on time
I had my daily goals set and met many of them. Changed things around to accommodate my daughter. Totally worth it. I set a time limit on my work today and kept it. Family more important. I had plans to make healthy muffins and an egg bake. I also had a strength session planned. I changed my plans and made the muffins, but opted for hard boiled eggs because they cook a lot faster than the 1+ hour for an egg bake. Still delicious and will have some food prepped for the rest of the week. Strength session will be be modified to a shorter full body workout. I have to show up for myself. All in all, still a win. Most important I got to spend some quality time with my daughter. πŸ’—

Belated Protein Anchors βš“ (and Life Vest 🦺 )
Last week our coach, Darren, distributed a clip to remind us about protein anchor and encourage us to share our own favourite anchors. Initially I prepared a version that I had been eating since I join BBB Skool (my food pictures with lean red meat and boiled egg, which are good for normal people). Unfortunately blood test on the weekend slapped me. As such, I prepared another version of anchors that I will adhere to for a while from now on. (Sorry for using Google Lens to translate nutrition facts) - frozen fish (for convenience and cost--fresh fish is better.) - soy milk (zero sugar and zero oil added) - nonfat milk - whey protein concentrate (standard, not the mass gainer type) Moreover, if spreading protein portions throughout the day is like anchors βš“, then an extra (small) portion of soy milk, skim milk, whey or fruit (an apple or an orange, etc.) is my life vest 🦺 when a hunger storm hits hard at night. Please kindly note that our coach of coach, Dan Go, said that late night hunger is the sign that the fat is leaving. Such "life vest late night snack" shouldn't be used everyday. In most parts of the world, storms don't occur very often, do they? 😁

Carlos Hellstern - Born, raised and based in Bangkok, Thailand
Hi everyone! I’m Carlos Hellstern, one of the coaches here at The Breakthrough Body. I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, and have been passionate about sports and fitness for as long as I can remember, especially football. That love for movement naturally grew into a fascination with health, nutrition, and finding ways to help people perform and feel their best. Back in university, I started my own health page online, which actually led me to connect with Darren. We immediately realized we shared the same values and philosophy when it came to coaching and health and fitness. I’ve now been part of the BBB coaching team for almost four years, and it’s been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life. I feel incredibly grateful to play a role in helping transform so many lives.
