Post Your Breath Hold (Week 24: June 9th 2025 - June 15th 2025)
Post all your Breath Hold Times here! Let's go & double your breath hold! ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿซ Step 1: Take an inhale, start your stopwatch & hold your breath. Step 2: Post your time here so you can get feedback and points Step 3: Head on over to the Classroom & follow the instructions Already participated last week, or last month? No worries, you can post and do it as much as you want (as a matter of fact, we'd only encourage it ๐Ÿ˜Ž) And if you done the challenge once (or twice), feel free to shake it up a little bit. Do exhale breath holds only for a week, or take it easy and do 1-2 breath holds a day without going for a max. Variety is the spice of life.

@Jessica Fitzpatrick true! Same here. It's just like remembering the perfect thing to say long hours after the argument is over ๐Ÿ˜‚

Step 2: Post your time here so you can get feedback and points Step 3: Head on over to the Classroom & follow the instructions Here's what you missed from last week (plus a few shout outs!) @Sabine Marcus tripled her breath hold in just 7 days (yup - it is not an exaggeration like most things on the internet - it is actually possible!) @Fredrik Nicander broke the 3 minute mark after just a few weeks (consistency pays off!) @Coen Balduk discovered that you can get longer breath holds, without necessarily going the hyperventilation route (thanks for trusting us and giving it a go!) A thank you to @Tina Mosner for being vulnerable and overcoming the bad vibes when the times are not so good. The line will not always go up, but you can make a comeback. Speaking of comebacks, long time breath hold veteran @Abdou Aziz poked his head in for an update on his breath hold journey (plus, I swear I saw a @Curro Cachinero sighting the other week as well) Shout out to @Jessica Fitzpatrick's dad, for gifting her Dan Brule's book Just Breathe ๐Ÿ˜Ž And let's support @Carmen Gruet in her attempt to go for 2 minutes this coming week. *** Already participated last week, or last month? @Carmen Gruet the best thing is to enjoy yourself. The innate pressure we put on ourselves to perform does the exact opposite of its intent. Nicely done!

Mostly New Breath Hold Lounge
Hello everyone. This is the mostly new Breath Hold lounge. Some of you are probably wondering why a new one. The other one had a lot of posts, but not a lot of people used it anymore. So I am hoping to make this one more fun. This is also the place for questions if you have one. A few rules though. Make sure to post your breath hold times in the breath hold thread. If they aren't posted in the correct place then you don't have a chance on winning a weekly giveaway prize. They will also be removed from this thread and put in the other. The second rule is to be kind to the people posting in here. The third is to have fun. ๐Ÿ™‚

How Breathholds can impact Tinnitus and Sympathetic/Parasympathetic response? In the past, I tried Wim Hof's breathing. My sympathetic response was immediate and accordingly. However, I never managed to fully disengage from that state. And the most annoying reminder was tinnitus. Doing WH would fix it temporarily, but tinnitus would came back even worse than before shortly after. Unsure if low Para Response is due to: - Nerve injury or compression: had a car accident in 2013 with whiplash to some extent. - MRI scan in 2023 came all good - just mild compression in C2-C3 segment; - Low parasympathetic tone: years of consistent work under sympathetic activation, leading to subsequent physiological problems (adrenals // thyroid // etc); It's way better now but curious to hear other similar healing stories.
