Name change?
I’m thinking about changing my name. Would like to keep the TM part since people know my logo. Any suggestions I sell mostly vintage and antique sparkly jewelry. I usually get five or six new buyers in my show and have some regulars but never have have larger numbers so that bidding doesn’t really occur so maybe this is a two-part question with the name change help that? I’ve been on Whatnot for almost a year now. my present name is TMroad39

When I first joined WhatNot I had no idea what it was even about. I really had no plans on even selling. But I kind of wanted to advertise my Facebook sales in case I met any prospective buyers. I picked what turned out to be the longest screen name in the world. (Sunfacenativejewelryandmore) 😂 I even had a couple of people ask me if my screen name was "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" after multiple people joked about how incredibly long it was I figured it was time to change it. I made my case to WhatNot and they worked with me right away. I was able to change it overnight. I just have a shortened version now.😉 Of course people still screw my name up. About every other time I go into a room someone says welcome "Surfacejewelry" 😂

Question/Discussion about reviews.
I pay a lot of attention to reviews when I make a purchase. That being said Im terrible about leaving them and would like to leave more notable ones, especially for newer sellers. I have noticed that most of the sellers I buy from have reviews from approx 10-20% of their items sold, so maybe Im not the only one that reads rather than write. My questions are ‘Do you check a sellers reviews before you purchase from them?’ And if you do ‘Are there certain things you look for? Or do you just see if customers are satisfied in general?’

I read my own reviews but I don't read anyone else's. But I do try to leave a review every time I purchase something. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I either read or heard early on that it helps your algorithm.🤷♀️ So if I can help a decent seller I will, even if it's not the greatest experience I try to say something nice. Unless somebody absolutely craps on me. In which case I just won't leave a review I'll just walk away and unfollow them.

Show Time selection
I’ve been selling for about 15 months on Whatnot now. , I have had my streams at the same time for the last 10 months and took time to schedule my streams without conflicting with sporting events and can’t help but challenge myself to do better. I’m not a jewelry hound yet but doing great in the outdoors category. I am curious at how others choose their time slots? Thanks in advance

My husband is a safety manager at power plants across our region and he primarily works third shift. He is gone 13-14 hours a night so the 10pm to 3am slot is really my best opportunity. Gives me time to rest when he goes to work , prepare for my shows do my shipping and also time to get the laundry done and house cleaned up before he gets home.
