Welcome a new moderator
Guys don't terrify the new moderator - welcome @Alexis Sacco (yes my daughter and yep she's written some books) who will be welcoming new members can help me with banning the dumb๐Ÿ‘'s who come in here to promote and spam! Less than 60 days and we are at around 200 people ๐Ÿฅณ and ranked around 170 in the tech category so I expect we might start to get more people organically through Skool which means we might get more annoying spammers ๐Ÿ™„ Yep I found another penguin GIF.....

Hi Alexis, glad to have you on board! Your mom is Superwoman for sure, and with you bringing your own superpowers, this could get dangerous! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’ฅ

A lot of people are saying they want to be more "organized." As someone who doesn't see herself as being organized - and yet others think I'm super organized (SURPRISE!!) here's my question of the day. What do you see as being ORGANIZED?

Kind of repeating a comment I made earlier, but a concrete step for me would be something like screenshots of a way to organize my files in Google Drive and Google Docs. How to structure the layers when drilling down, having multiple projects and multiple books and multiple parts of a book within each book.. And I suppose this process would basically be repeated in my local files. But right now it's random with me just saving things and sometimes doing it well and sometimes I have no idea where it is and I just have to find it searching around. But actual screenshots or actual pathways would be so helpful! Maybe someone on this thread could share something like that for a disorganized squirrel chaser?!?! And a side squirrel questions, lol.. @Dana Sacco , is there anyway on Claude and Chat and possibly Antigravity, to set up an integration that will automatically send a document or artifact to Google Drive/docs/ sheets? That would eliminate the copy and paste process? Wishlist item for sure :-) Also, I signed up for the Novel Crafter class, but I wasn't able to join. I'm looking in my classroom at that course, and I don't see the recording. Am I looking in the wrong place? Appreciate you!

@Dana Sacco thanks so much! ๐Ÿฅฐ I looked complllllletely over that. Kept clicking the Welcome line and looking in there. The squirrel is real! And I am clumsily working a little bit within AG. But I don't think it's connected to my Google Drive or files? I think for some reason he wanted me to connect to my local computer. But I'll have to follow that up again. And maybe I'll have a chat with the others one day about automating documents being copied and sent to my G drive.
2026 - What Do You WANT to Learn for Your Author Business?
I am thinking of a million things so y'all need to help me narrow them down. What are things you would like to learn about for 2026? I know about running pen names - I am actually working on showing different methods so it works for different people (knowing I am awful at this but at the same time seem to have 5-6 pen names?) What else? I was thinking how to write X # of books for rapid releasing? Running this as a BUSINESS (ie Mindset) vs a hobby. Setting goals and making them happen. Talk to me people!!!

OK, you asked. And even though there are alot more sexy things, I need help with organizing. Not suggestions, but a concrete, implementable way to structure my Google drive and my local files. I'm just getting started, and these areas are already out of control. Screenshots of the layers of files might help. Maybe Antigravity can do it for me?!? ๐Ÿ˜†
Managing Multiple Pen Names.
I have a question for the group that I hope is appropriate to ask here. I write several different genres and do it all under one pen name, which I do understand is a no-no. But I'm a one-woman business and I simply do not feel like I have the bandwidth to manage the overhead of multiple pen names--i.e., websites, social media pages, newsletters, etc. In taking this class, I can see that this process can really speed things up, but I know myself well enough to know that a speedier process will only make me want to write in more genres. I can also see it is the same for others here who have used similar processes and seem to have a card deck full of potential pen names. So...do any of you have tips on how to structure/streamline your business structure to manage multiple pen names so you are keeping everything in the right lane and doing each lane justice? Is there anyone else struggling with this?

I think I heard somewhere, that if you have more than 3 pen names, you run the risk of someone trying to claim your pen name. Is this right? If so, how can you protect all of your pen names?
Welcome! Introduce yourself ๐ŸŽ‰
Let's get to know each other! Comment below sharing where you are in the world, what genre(s) you write, and something you like to do for fun. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hi y'all! I'm Caren, and I just published my first Cozy Mystery Novella, and made my first $1.05! Building my email list now, drudgery! But I'm having so much fun with all of this. I have 3 of Dana's codex that I can't wait to bring to life, but I'm buckling down to get my CM series done! @Dana Sacco I did the Claude Codex class and am registered for the NovelCrafter class, but they are locked in my profile here. I think you sent an email about this, but I can't find it. Can you please assist? Also, I'm ready to chase that AntiGravity squirrel! Love that you've written books with it already, Dana!

Published first Novella. But so much more to learn. I think this is the right place to do just that!
