🌎 I'm Candy, I was born in Panama (Mom's Panamanian & Dad's Samoan) and raised in a military-connected family in the U.S. I've been in the breaking community since the late 90s. 👟 I first got started with my twin sister and cousin (Floor Angelz) after being told "girls don't breakdance," and, coincidentally, met Abstrak, Teknyc, and the rest of SKMZ, who taught me the 6-step at a rave — a full-circle moment being here now. I am also a member of the legendary crew Floorlords (Boston, MA). 🎵 My favorite tracks to break to are Latin breaks; it makes my whole spirit feel free 🎯 I joined Foundational Methodz to support Ab, stay inspired during my cervical spine injury recovery, and stay connected to breaking dialogue outside of social media. I recently won an Emmy for my research with NBC Sports on the live broadcast for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
