The admin things… forms / documentation
Curious to see how y'all go about these sorts of things.. from my end, during my soft launch, I just created a Google Form for my intake questionnaire, and had a couple of acknowledgments for people to initial, but am looking to beef it up / make it more formal. Then I use Google Sheets for my notes/bookkeeping. And I believe (I’ll have to double check lol) my orders address my patient population as “clients of The Training Room.” - Do you guys have separate documents that folks sign for consent to treat and HIPAA? (Hard copies or Docusign or something else) - Do you guys use a certain app/program to aid in these things? (Google suite, Jane, other EMRs, etc) - Finally, in your standing orders how did y'all phrase the patient population piece? (IE usually they say something like, “this athletic trainer has permission to perform athletic training services for the athletes at Lincoln Public Schools …” - so are your orders addressing it like that: clients/patients of your business. Or do you just have your name and you are being given permission by the undersigned MD to perform AT services as appropriate?

Intake form through Calendly. Consent to treat on Jotform. Google suite for notes. Standing orders are a little lax in KY so I just have to say my name and the MD
Out growing AT role?
Does anyone feel like they’re out growing their AT role? What are you transition into? 17 years athletic trainer, performance enhancing, strength injury prevention. I work multiple levels, semi pro, university/college, currently high school, and youth. I’ve done administrative assistant/athletic director duties…… recruiting/retention, academic advisor, leadership development & more. Also done personal training, group fitness, sports training, etc. What’s next??? Looking for more compensation for time, knowledge, & experience. More traditional hours or remote work. What are your thoughts???

@Jesse Torres it was my sports med physician that I worked under in the high school setting! I mainly started my work remotely, then when I started in person I did concierge service and went to clients homes, but now I run my in person stuff out of my home gym!

“Passing the BOC doesn't automatically prepare you for every real-world clinical situation.” What do you wish your clinical education had prepared you for better?

@Jenna Doggett Their end goal isn’t to create the best clinicians. It’s to get you to pass the BOC. How many of us learned ultrasound in class cus it’s on the BOC for it to be no better than placebo in systematic reviews?
Online Rehab Intervention: Testing & Retesting
Hi all! I’ve been slowly building an online rehab program that I can offer in future as a low touch offer. I think it’s fairly normal to walk someone through testing - intervention - retesting when in person with a patient. I want to build that into my online program. Is anyone else already doing this for online patients? If so, what delivery and presentation methods seem to work best so the patient actually does both the test and the retest?

I do an “initial assessment” looking at deficiencies in ROM, stability, motor control, and then build their online program to tackle those deficiencies and their pain points. Then I do weekly or biweekly check ins!
First 20 Founding Member Spots Are Taken, BUT....
The 20 founding member spots have been taken! So we are transitioning to the $20/month pricing for the rest of those who want to stay a part of the hub, BUT, as an incentive to get locked in, the next 5 people will be able to lock in at $15/mo! Tell your friends, tell your husband, tell your wife! These spots won't last long!!
