Thursday, 4/9 morning class
My 43 yr old single man, my son & I had our dinner visit. I told him about this workshop & how I would like to improve myself in my communication with you as an adult. I gave him a couple of questions we had that morning in our class. Over all he was not comfortable in going back in his past as a child. He would rather enjoy our visits today together. My question to anyone who can help. What should I do? How can I can I answer any of those questions in how I raised my sons vs the way I was brought up. Their were about 3 specific questions to ask our adult children.

You had asked certain questions to ask our AC. That is why I asked. Yes, you are correct I’m inexperienced. I don’t see him often. That is another reason I asked the question.

Controlling
My daughter in law controls everything, including my son, and my grandchildren. I am only allowed to see them on their birthdays, two times a year, and Christmas. They all involve presents.

Elizabeth Rider, I share your pain. My 42 yr old son & wife have abandoned me from their lives for the past 10 years. I stemmed to have said or do something wrong according to her. Being that’s his wife , nothing I can do. My 3 grandchildren don’t know who I am nor do I know them. I believe she hasn’t ever wanted me in their lives. We only live 5 min away. The pain & stress has caused me to have breast cancer . I thanked God I have beaten it twice. My son never had given me a call to see how I was doing. Very cold. Hard to believe he’s my son. We were very close for 30 yrs. Now I don’t know who he is. I want reconciliation before I leave this earth & to know my grandchildren.
