How to be blessed - Insights from Psalm 1
This morning I was studying in Psalm 1 and noticed a few things that seemed helpful to share… We are blessed (or happy) when we meditate on God’s “law” day and night. “Law” is “Torah” and can also mean “instruction.” It specifically refers to the first 5 books of the Bible, but can be applied to all of God’s Word. I noticed the man (or woman) who does this and is like a tree, 🌴 planted by a river, 🌊 reminds me of the Tree of Life by the River of Life described in Revelation chapter 22. Recently, I learned “Tree of Life” is also a Hebraism (Hebrew idiom) referring to the Torah. I realized that as we meditate on the “Tree of Life” we become like a tree of life ourselves. The Tree of Life represents Jesus, who is the Word and the source of life (see John 1). When we meditate on Jesus day and night, we become like Him and prosper in all that we do! Let’s discuss and go deeper on this together. What do you all think about this? @Benjamin Tracy @Caleb Phipps
