Glad to be here
Hello Midweek Mamas! ✨ I’m new here and excited to be part of this community. I’m a mom who runs an online store from home, and I joined because I want to connect with other women who understand the mix of motherhood, purpose, and real life. I’m looking forward to learning, networking, and growing alongside you all—especially with moms who are building something while still managing home life. So glad to be here 💛 Where is everyone joining from?

If you're new here, we are literally screaming because you've arrived. Please complete these 2 steps so we can get to know each other better! 🗣️STEP ONE: Tell us a little bit about you mama! Answer the following prompts in the thread below. 1. Your name 2. What stage of motherhood you consider yourself in (no right answer here) 3. The ages of your children 4. What you like to do outside of mommying 5. Your IG/TT handle so we can follow you! 👯‍♀️STEP TWO: Book your New Member Welcome Call! This is a 1:1 15 min chat to help you gain the most from your membership inside Midweek Mamas. This way, we can sort of network with other mamas who are joining at the same time. We aren't meant to do motherhood alone so welcome to the sisterhood. Click this link to schedule your welcome call! https://calendly.com/christiana-d-maldonado/30min

For the kids the only thing I recommend is keeping to a schedule. You can make it fun too and help them make it with you. Title it Christmas Break Schedule or something fun and Write down things like “wake up” “eat breakfast” “brush teeth” “go on a walk” “sing a Christmas song” on little pieces of paper and have them pick and put in order with magnets on the fridge or something. There’s obviously some non negotiables in there but you can still make it fun. About grandparents or your parents sounds hard. Maybe physically take them to your rooms and ask them if they were sleeping in this room where they would put the gifts. This is more of a psychological thing than an earnest question because it is forcing them to visualize and be realistic. Me personally, I’m gonna be flying with my 13 month old and my husband. I’m very nervous. We have several busy boards and travel toys and we will have snack and I’ll bring some fruit pouches. He can eat real people food now so I’m not really worried about the food situation. What I AM worried about is him getting airsick or carsick (airport to house is an hour and we have to do that twice) because he is known to get carsick even after just 20 minutes. I’m also nervous about the plane ride obviously since we will be stuck in there for three hours and he will be a lap baby. So there will be a very unfortunate person next to us lol. And we have a lot of stuff, we are bringing a stroller and car seat which we will gate check. This is also my husband and my first vacation ever LOL and I’m worried about how he will handle stress which isn’t historically de-escalating… just a lot of worry I guess and not a lot of control do I have about it so I just gotta let it go and let God but I’m not quite there yet. A lot of anxiety is had right now. AND THEN ALSO he hasn’t had his flu shot what if he gets sick 😔
What are you thankful for today?
I’m thankful that I made my 13 month old french toast for the first time and he liked it! The feeling of making something new for your toddler AND them liking it is like no other feeling I have ever experienced, lol. Meal times can be so stressful, but today it was not! Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!
