Back from trip and regrouping
It was a whirlwind business trip and didn't do shit on my perfect day. Really no excuse as I could have exercised, written and eaten better. Had the time just not the focus. Gonna remember and be prepared for the next one. Regroup and recommit tomorrow. View from the stage

Feel you brother... so hard to hit those perfect days when war season hits. Struggling to get one on the books on this end despite my organized approach. Recommitting on this end today/ week as well... no excuse here either for missing my mark. Great picture and so happy and proud to see you out there doing your thing!!!

@Michael Saum thanks! It helps me to organize my particular goals and quite often will reflect upon what house needs a little extra care and attention. The vitality wheel is a great tool for this.

I’m sitting here getting treatment #14 and journaling/ reflecting on my own Magician House heading into this month. Two reflections I’m sitting with I want to share with the group. First, for some general accountability (and to put it out into the Universe). In order for this season to be the success I want it to be these are the requirements of me: - Perfect Day (so good in off season, historically not so in season) - Discipline on schedule (I know this will equal more freedom and I need to schedule myself first into this madness for the sake of resiliency and relationships) - Strong communication (Sunday night check-ins and regular weekly staff and client project check-ins. Monthly newsletter continued commitment - let me know if any of you want to be added to my marketing list) - Commitment to follow-through. (This is in regards to design/ proposal turn around and commission work- it’s gets slowed down by me) - Mindfulness/ Presence (meditation is key- in a good rhythm now and love the emotional regulation and extra state of awareness it provides) - Proper daily preparation. (This is all about scheduling the time at the end of each day to prepare for the next one to prevent some of the unnecessary extra chaos) Second, heading into Magician- finances has bubbled to the top for me in today’s journaling. I’ve realized there’s a pattern here. (I’ve attached my chicken scratches - the IV is in my left arm today and I’m left handed lol) This is the pattern in case you can’t read it: reluctance > procrastination > pile up/ overwhelm/ cash flow crunch > push towards a ā€œcliffā€/ afraid of asking for help/ stress > last minute stressful ā€œsaveā€ by reactive action > back to reluctance. I’m just putting it out to everyone as it feels like a profound observation that will requiring unpacking. I don’t know if this is a result of my poor upbringing, lack of financial education/ example, habits of startup business, some trauma around my previous marriage, or that dragon head of inadequacy.

Thanks @Emile Pretorius! In the service they used to say: Prior Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance. (ā€œThe 5 P’sā€) There is some mighty truth to it… thinking I should probably start applying it whole heartedly again haha.

3/23 Check in and my Q1 List
Hi All. Well, first day of war season went well. Spent the day getting to know my new Sergeant and opened back up a project that's been buried under snow for the past two months. Nice to be back at it. Dropped off on the perfect day over the weekend, but that's ok as I still had good weekend and I chose rest and letting go for a couple of days knowing that my days and weeks will only be ramping up from this point on. It's good to keep perspective. So as far as my Q1 list is concerned, I have some stuff to definitely wrap up over the week and weekend to finish strong. Here's where I landed for my overall Q1 Grails. (I hit all of the others not listed) I've attache the original. Personal: - Finish the book I'm currently reading which will give me 4 books on my goal of 3. - Missed on the hikes, as the weather wasn't the easiest. Did pick up ice climbing and cross country skiing so I'm thinking I'll give myself a pass. - Didn't hit the 2 new recipes per month with the kids but healthy eating for all of us was on par and we did try a bunch. My youngest joins me cooking often so maybe I'll check this one off too, lol - Meditation I could hit it a little harder but definitely reestablished it. (I do actively practice mindfulness daily but there's still no substitute for the pillow) I'll carry this over to Q2 - Review Finances/ debt/ financial health/ budget/ Set goals - needs work and perfect Magician House work for this upcoming month. Did focus on the business side of this however. Business to dos: - Websites updating - 2026 Pricing (will continue into Q2 but main vendors are in process - about 75% complete) - Hire x2 more laborers (in process- and honestly need them for 4/6 so I should be good) - Monthly Newsletter (due this week) - Retail Marketing - Tools organization/ Early Spring orders So I'm feeling in a solid place and psyched with how much I've accomplished this quarter. Will work on my Q2 Grails and have a good framework for my Q2 Perfect Day by 4/1. Its nice that some of my remaining items on my overall 2026 list fit nicely into Magician 😁
