The Warrior Archetype follows the Lover in the hero’s journey map and represents the need to take decisive action after the time required to heal and recover. This is the actual start of the next heroic phase of improving our lives. For some of us this is easy and exciting and for some of us this is hard and scary. Get to know your dragon in your story. Joseph Campbell says "The demon you can swallow gives you it's power and the greater life's pain the greater life's reply." ‘Decisive’ contains the root ‘cide’ which means to cut or kill and sometimes the Warrior action is to cut off things that no longer serve us. Cutting out refined sugar or scrolling are examples of Warrior Work. Warrior is also the house of discipline and relentless consistency which is required for the establishment of a new practice. Starting daily meditation, a morning ritual, going to sleep at a set time or even flossing daily are examples of Warrior Work. If you are serious about getting results in your life, this is the challenging but necessary phase of action. It is also the phase where we call in our allies who support us and hold us accountable. Post your clear and measurable goals for Warrior Month ON THIS POST. This will force us to clarify our goals and activate our allies for this month's quest.
