Life's too short for predictability
For those who prefer things clear and predictable, Iโ€™m about as stressful as a compass that instantly shifts the moment you think youโ€™ve found north. Iโ€™d much rather be a hungry wasp crashing a coffee table. One second Iโ€™m circling the lemonade, the next Iโ€™m obsessed with the whipped cream โ€” and before you know it, Iโ€™ve detoured through the plum cake and ended up nibbling on the cookies.

Getting started or just want to disappear?
Hello my friends. So, we made it to 2026. Congrats to all of us ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ’ช What are you up to these days?

Both? I have so much to do I just want to avoid it all, but equally, I know I'll never get anywhere with life if I hide from it.

@Loretta Arey ๐Ÿ˜‚ same!
Whatโ€™s all this supposed to mean?
A lot of us are so desperate to find meaning because, in the end, there might be none handed to us. And if life is meaningless in that sense, then maybe thatโ€™s the gift. It means weโ€™re free to create our own small meanings for our tiny existence. Sometimes I wonder if the universe is playing a strange trick on us. As if life emerged just to see how something with a pulse reacts to consciousness. Itโ€™s wild being alive. I fell in love with this statement in the photo. It brought up the lines above. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿฅน๐ŸคŒ๐ŸคŒ What do you guys think of it? For me it's just a damn good reminder that we're at the party already and should forget all this preparation stuff for "the greatest party the world has ever seen." Our gravestones won't clap. ๐Ÿคฃ (Ha! By the way, that's just another reason why I changed the community again. You know what? It feels so great to just post this here without any other intention then just put it out there and let it sit. ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ’ช)

So good! Wow, I haven't thought of it that way before.
Depression has "press"ure in the name
Pressure sometimes leaves a mark. an imprint. a dent. a *depression* yes. sometimes depression feels like pressure. Pressure to wear an "okay" mask around others. Pressure to do the small things around your house. Pressure to take care of yourself. Yelling at yourself constantly to DO a thing you can't get yourself to do. I know it can be hard to recognize the signs sometimes. for yourself or for others. sometimes those who smile the brightest *arent* okay. They are adding pressure to themselves to *be*. To be normal. to be presentable. to be *there*. for those who resonate with this message - medicine is not failure. Depression has proven medication available. check with your community therapist/psychiatrist. There is help. You don't have to fight yourself constantly. I was reminded that the holidays are rough for many. December/January is the darkest time of the year, which increases seasonal depressive feelings. For many, this may be their hardest season - and it's okay to seek help. you can be okay. And I know this might be a bit of a dark reality - but PLEASE if you are in danger or at risk, check this resource for a help line in YOUR COUNTRY: https://blog.opencounseling.com/suicide-hotlines/ YOU can be okay. Even if right now you *aren't okay* under the mask. There is hope. There is help. And we want you here

This is a good analogy
Meaning & Purpose as distraction... ๐Ÿค”
Wow! I just watched a video that reminded me of an old idea: The exhausting search for our life's purpose is just a psychological trick our brains plays on us, because dealing with the fact that NOTHING will last, is just too overwhelming for us. Think about it. The squirrel is not really bothered by trying to leave a mark. It's just living doing it's thing to - no, not even to survive as long as possible, but just... I don't know... Yea it's just living. And it doesn't have to pay bills.... God! I wanna be a squirrel ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Hmm, I can see your point Christian, but I only partly agree. My opinion is that, while our days are not promised to us, there is a deeper meaning to life, which is preparing our hearts for what lies beyond this world.
