Attention Meditation Men, This group exists because I need it — a brotherhood of grounded, intentional men walking the path together. And it exists for the same reason you joined: to support a real meditation practice and be in the company of men who actually show up. We host free silent meditations every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Lately, I’ve noticed many members haven’t been joining. No judgment — life happens. But intention without follow-through doesn’t serve you, and it doesn’t serve the group. So here’s how we’re moving forward: Meditation Men is for active participants. To stay in the group, you’ll need to join at least one live meditation per month. If that doesn’t fit your life right now, totally okay — you’re welcome to step out and return when the timing is right. No pressure, no hard feelings. I’ll also be reaching out 1-on-1 to make sure this doesn’t get missed. If you’re in and want to stay active, comment “I’m in” below and join us this week. Hello from Canada - My Meditation History
Hi everyone, Brandon invited me to the group. My main meditation practice for years has been Vipassana as taught by S. N. Goenka. I took my first course 13 years ago over my 20th birthday. A year later, I continued taking courses and stayed at the center nearest to me for 2 months and took my third course before returning home and setting a commitment to do a whole year with two 1-hour sits every day. I did that and since then I have fallen out of that level of dedication, but the practice remains something that's deep in my core. I've also explored self-inquiry through teachers like Jiddu Krishnamurti, Mooji, Eckharte Tolle, and lately, Bentinho Massaro. I'm co-writing a novel with a woman who used to be the personal assistant to Eckharte and a good friend of Mooji, and I learned a lot through meeting her as well 10 years ago, and now we are close friends. I also do lots of somatic practices that involve body sensations, which is essential to Vipassana as well. Some of these are through therapy, as well as movement practices like Contact Improvisation and Feldenkrais. I'm an artist at heart and love all forms, yet my main focus right now is illustration and acting. Look forward to meditating with you all. Here's a painting I'm nearly done that is a photo I took when traveling to Bali in 2015 - where I first discovered contact improv, and a trip that was a one-month journey with my friend who worked with Eckharte and Mooji. I have my own Skool group that celebrates fantasy art, if any of you are interested in that. Anthony

Glad to be here! My name is matt but my friends all call me Burns. I enjoy defining myself as a community builder builder. I live for the thrill of helping 1 billion people find their third place, and I get the most energy from supporting the people out there aiming to build community. Currently based on clients and communities we're around 20 million folks, so a good start but a long ways to go. :) I have a group for community builders dedicated to consistently showing up every day to work on their business and grow/market their own communities, with daily coaching and guidance. I'm also working to build up more local Austin TX builders by gathering them together in person. Looking forward to learning from you all!
