went 1099 in November24. First full year of 1099 as well as remaining PRN W2 Had taxes done with CPA who knows what we do as CRNAs and what is needed… he was highly recommended by my boss who is also a CRNA and has been going to him for a long time. We had a game plan set with the goal of paying as all taxes as possible. But at the end, I still had over a $17,000 tax bill. 7000.00 plus in Missouri Passover. 10,000 plus federal taxes. It was just a shock to the nervous system. I knew I’d have to pay in, but was not expecting that much. One of our plans was me to max out a SEP IRA which I was not able to do last year ( I am Now). All of my W2 pay is going towards maxing out my 403B. Even with all my deductions, I had it still was not enough to break even. My CPA said that is a common problem with 1099 CRNA’s, they do not have enough deductions.
