My ♥️ is full on my birthday
I had the best birthday with our families today. I make a big deal out of my birthday every year lol. We went to lunch and I had a delicious veggie sandwich with fries. (Meeting House in Princeton for anyone in the area) If you like matcha, there's a place called Ooika that grinds their matcha on-site. It's the best matcha I've ever had. I'm attaching a video of their process. SO cool. Then we went to my parents house for cake and presents! My brother always asks me what I want because he never knows what to get me. So I asked for herbal teas and a weighted vest. Can I be anymore of a Holistic Nutritionist and wellness addict? 😂 I also got other beautiful gifts from my parents and MIL. My parents ordered a custom vegan cake for me and it was chocolate with raspberry filling. SO good. I'll be freezing the rest into pieces because I've had more cake than usual this week lol. But so worth it. I'm so grateful for being surrounded by so much love. And so happy to have you be part of this growing community as I start this new year. ♥️ Would love to know! My go to morning snack is hard boiled eggs, avocado, tomatoes, dried berries, pumpkin seeds, a little bit of seasoning and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Today we didn't have any ripe avocados. And my head wanted to erupt. My food soul feels incomplete! 😩 I want to go back to bed. [dramatic I know but IDC!] lol What's the ONE food you just can't go without? I wish I could grow avocado trees in NJ. 😡

And for those of you who are already in Premium or VIP: 👉 What made you say, “YES, this is a no-brainer”? What tipped you into upgrading? There is no shortage of recipe sites & resources. But when it comes to food & health EDUCATION - specifically the food that I'm consuming and I'm giving to my family - I don't like to outsource that information and my questions to the free resources available. I value someone who has put in the time to not only do the research but LIVE BY IT and put their learned knowledge together in a digestible format for people to consume and put into practice [see the puns! 🤭]
Snow and an Apple Cinnamon Power Bowl
Yesterday we woke up to so much snow and it was cold! It reminded me of the snowfall we used to get growing up. I wanted something warm and cozy. The only changes I made were: instead of raisins I used barberries (a longevity superfood), pumpkin seeds instead of nuts, and almond milk instead of soy milk. oh we are definitely an oatmeal household - regularly. i let them soak a bit as well. we season with vanilla and cinnamon, blueberries & bananas are a must.
