I'm running a Meta Ad. Roast it first so I don't deliver it raw!
I'm spending the total fortune of 20 USD or a burger dinner on it. It will realistically not bring me more than 3 members at best. But it will give me some useful stats hopefully. I'll make other experiments with video content. Here it goes: Tittle: Stop buying marketing courses. Your next course won’t tell you what’s wrong with your actual ad, offer, website, or content. You don’t have an information problem. You have a feedback problem. Bring what you built to Roast & Promote. Real people will tell you what works, what’s confusing, and what you should fix next. 🔥 Get roasted. Get better. Help someone else and get noticed. 📢 Join free and post what you’re working on.

Ugh I’m so torn on meta ads. On one hand I know they can help. I’ve seen it with some of my fellow skoolers. I used to be Google AdWords certified too. I just hate spending money on getting clicks and ads. But that’s me. I like your visual. It’s a really strong pinpoint trigger. Your text isn’t quite as strong, but I’m not excellent at that. The you don’t have a x problem you have a y problem is something I see a lot. Even in my ai output. Not saying you had ai writing it, but that’s where my head went. I’d probably lead with something like, by the time you write a new course and still hear crickets you could’ve received 10 pieces of feedback and began to sell what really matters. Or something like that. Shrink the time and energy while increasing the likelihood of success. Oh and I like Taki Moore’s approach of boosting value video content instead of ad spend. At least that builds trust and reciprocity. But everything is an experiment.

@Paulo Costa, The Roaster love it!
🔥 ROAST MY BUSINESS IDEA! 🔥
Okay, Paula and my fellow Skool classmates… I’m finally walking into the fire. 😂🔥 When I joined Skool, I had never touched AI and I came here thinking I was simply going to build a community around what I already knew: traditional professional photography. Then I realized something. How was I going to photograph weddings, quinceañeras, family portraits and pageants ONLINE? 😂 I couldn’t. So instead of trying to squeeze my old photography business into an online world, I created a new way to photograph people. 📸 LIVE REMOTE PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOTS The client is at home with their smartphone. I’m LIVE with them, directing their natural lighting, camera position, angles, posing and expressions—and I capture their photographs remotely from my end. No studio. No travel. They can be almost anywhere in the world. 🌎 I developed and refined the system over time, and I’ve now been doing this for about four months. And here’s the important part: THIS ISN’T JUST AN IDEA ANYMORE. IT WORKS. I’ve photographed people remotely in different countries, and the results and reactions have been incredible. What I love most is the joy and confidence I see when people receive photographs of themselves that they genuinely love. ❤️ My Remote Headshot Session is currently $97, and clients receive multiple finished professional images. So I’m not asking you: “Do you think this could work?” I already know it can. 🔥 I want you to roast what comes NEXT. When you hear this business model, what am I missing? What would confuse a potential customer? What would you change about the way I explain or sell it? And if you were trying to turn this from a working service into a worldwide business, where would you challenge me to think bigger? Okay, Paula and my fellow Skool classmates… 🔥 LIGHT THE FIRE! ROAST AWAY! 😂🔥

@Cristal Vancarson I love your energy in your video. I couldn't unsee the lights in the glasses. I thought to myself, "Is Cristal going to do this amazing shift to fix her camera and remove the lights from her glasses?" This is a huge pain point for me and I would've love a quick example to this in this video to build up evidence and authority. Remote headshots live or die on trust and turnaround. And of course people are asking, "Why can't I just use AI?" I believe your energy sells and this is a fun business, but I'm a little hesitant to fork over $97. Probably because I don't have a big enough need right now. So its on you and your content to help me understand the gap and risk for not using it. If the buyer can't picture (see what I did there haha) the before and after in one sentence, the funnel won't fix it. Who's your first 10 customers, and what's the one sentence offer you'd say to them on a call?

Vanity Metrics vs Real Progress
[Roast my Lessson] So when we're trying to measure our success in our online business it's very easy to get lost on vanity metrics. We may chase numbers and get high on the dopamine of seeing those points go up, but after a while we realize that we're not really reaching the goals that will make us trully fulfilled. But what are the metrics that really matter for you? Well it all depends on your goals. Metrics can point out how many people are finding you, following you, paying you, engaging with you and keep coming back to your space among other stuff. And skool gives you this emoji badges for you to keep track on your progress. For me, metrics matter because I want to build a professional portfolio and have this group as a success story. But trying to optmize my results and focusing on that may shift my focus from what really matters to stuff that will only boost my ego. Like focusing on member growth instead of going afer quality members. Or forcing engagement with gif wars and forced follow up questions instead of having genuine high quality conversations. I personally used to care about my discovery position, I got to around 250 on the money categoty at some point, but I soon realized this didn't matter unless I got the ⭐, that doen't exist anymore. And after the growth boost I just disabled my discovery and stopped caring about it as I count mostly on organic outreach. I still care about member count, because it's a portifolio success story for future clients. BUT this is not something I'm super focused at, I'm just showing up and trying to build something cool that will be worth for other people and the numbers will eventually be just an accessory to my awesome offers. What about you? What are the numbers that really matter for you?

Love this journey and this lesson. I just did a breakdown of growth boost recently and where they are going with all of it. It seems like a carrot, but it’s sort of a stick in disguise. The metrics I’m after are about page visits and conversions primarily.
Quick favor. I need 3 honest answers.
Over the past two summers I've worked with my oldest (11 years old now) with his reading comprehension, critical thinking skills, resilience to stick with things and summer homework, which he was not motivated at all to do. I did this by making learning fun through AI chat first and then I built a web version of it all for him. I'm proud to say he went from behind everyone in almost every category to ahead of the class now. Almost all of this was self lead, I would remind him to go complete his quest. So I started doing this for myself and wanted to see if others wanted to try this technique with me. So here are my questions: 1. What book, class, or plan have you been meaning to use? And what do you want to be able to do once you use it? 2. Could you check in with me 8 times over 2 weeks? Each one is short. Then one more quick check in a week later. Yes / Maybe / No. 3. What stops you most? Not enough time. Not sure where to start. Trouble using what you learned. Not feeling sure of yourself. Or something else. Tell me in the comments. I read every one.
