Why Most People Quit After 2 Weeks.
Most people don’t quit because martial arts is too hard. They quit because they: Start too aggressively. Expect too much too soon. Don’t have a clear plan. The key isn’t intensity. It’s starting at the right level and building consistency from there.

To a certain extent you can’t sugar coat or make jiu jitsu easy. Its difficult physically and especially mentally, can be very challenging for people to pick it up, so many moving parts. It can be emotionally challenging as well. I can almost put a percentage on someone starting if they will stick around or not. Unfortunately many don’t stick around long enough to grasp jiu jitsu. Kudos to those who do stick with it.

In my 17th year I’ve been lucky and have never taken more than a week off. I train 2-3 days per week. Never really been injured, I e had tweaks here and there there but no major injuries, thank God.
