Balance
There are 4 main systems that contribute to our balance. 1. Muscles and Bones: give us structure and creat movement 2. Vision: tells us about our environment 3. Vestibular: tells our body where our head is within space and senses what direction were moving 4. Proprioception: senses where are joints are so we can make adjustments (on uneven ground) These 4 systems have to work together for us to maintain our balance. When 1 system isn't working as well, the other systems have to make up for it. It's important to train all the systems of balance, especially as we get older.

Falls
As people get older, falling is a big fear of many people. Falls don't usually happen someone is standing still. They usually happen when someone slips or trips and is unable to regain their balance. This means that balance training should be work on dynamic balance and be challenging enough that you have to step to catch your balance. Have you had a fall? If so, how did it happen?

@Karen George oh no! Hopefully you are all healed up now. I work with a lot of people with osteoporosis and have seen people make improvements in bone density even into their 80s!
Update
I'm back and recording daily Balance exercises that anyone can do at their house. There will be a 10-15 minutes of balance exercises that I will walk you through. You can check out some free exercises before trying a full workout I am a physical therapist and I run small group fitness classes for older adults. This skool group is going to bring the principals of my in person groups to people around the world to do at their home
