How to Spy on Other Folks Ads For Inspiration
Facebook moved this around, but if you go here, click "All Ads" in the dropdown, & type in the page name of whoever you're spying on, it will show you all their ads, for inspiration on what's currently moving the needle for creative 😊😊 https://facebook.com/ads/library

I know some authors run ads under a page that's not their name, which makes them hard to search if you don't know what that page is. Anyone have hints on ferreting that out?

@Tara Crescent Oh, good idea! Thanks!
Was given "radical" newsletter advice 😆
An author who I consider rather successful told me this morning that when she (her assistant, actually) sends out her newsletter, a few days later they'll send the exact newsletter out again to everyone who didn't open it the first time. They just change the subject line. She said that 30-65% of the people who didn't open the newsletter the first time will open it the second time. I thought that was wild! Has anyone here done this? Did/do you see similar results? I was thinking about trying it.

Now that I've gone to 4 newsletters a month (I used to do just 1 unless something special was going on), I only do a resend to non-opens for my mid-month "main" newsletter (that goes to everyone), not the genre-specific ones. I do tweak the resend slightly (I copy the first one, then tweak) and change the subject line. And preface the teaser line with "ICYMI." I usually get around a 50-55% open rate on my first send, then roughly 15% on the second.

Post your name (What you want to be called), pronouns and what genres you love to read/write! I'm Lee Savino, pronouns she/her. I love reading and writing spicy romance, especially paranormal or twisty gothic suspense sort of dark romance! Picture of me in Cancun - a trip I took Jan 2026 with my author bestie Renee Rose!

Hi, everyone! I just joined, too. I write YA SFF romance and historical romance, both as Brenda Hiatt (if I had it to do over, I'd have at least added an initial to differentiate). I'm wide and also sell directly on my website with WooCommerce. She/her. I have a huge TBR stack (mostly on my Kindle) but never enough time to read, alas. Looking forward to learning from everyone here!
