Gil is the MAN!!!
Thank you for showing me how a true CRM should work. My post it note system just doesn’t compare with the systems you have in place. It’s no wonder leads are slipping through the cracks. Thanks again for your insight and willingness to help!!
You Don't Have to Figure Everything Out Alone — Use This Community!
I wanted to put this out there because I want everyone to feel comfortable posting and asking questions inside this community. This isn't just a place to watch trainings and learn business systems. It's a place for baseball and softball instructors to help each other get better. And that doesn't always have to be about business! Here are a few things I'd love to see you guys sharing: - Your wins: Booked a new student? Had a great lesson? Helped an athlete make a breakthrough? Share it! - Your struggles: Having trouble getting students, creating content, or keeping your schedule full? Ask for help. - Coaching questions: Need a good drill for a hitter who's struggling with timing? Looking for pitching or fielding ideas? Ask the group. - Resources: Looking for a video editor, a booking app, equipment recommendations, or another useful tool? Someone here might know. - Your content: Shot a new Reel or created a post? Share it and ask for feedback. - Things you've learned: Found something that works well with your athletes or lesson business? Pass it along. And don't feel like you need to have some perfectly written post. A simple question is more than enough. Something like: "Hey, does anyone have a good drill for hitters who keep rolling over?" Or: "I'm trying to post more content but don't know what to film. Any ideas?" That's exactly the kind of stuff I want happening in here. I've learned so much over the years just from being around other coaches and business owners who are willing to share what they know. That's the kind of community I want us to build. The more we share, ask questions, and help each other, the more valuable this place becomes for everyone. Here's how to get involved: 1. Click Write something at the top of the Community tab. 2. Share a question, win, struggle, video, or resource. 3. Pick the category that fits best and hit Post. 4. When you see someone else's post, jump in if you have something helpful to share. You don't need to be an expert at everything to contribute.

Hey! I've got two things I'm working on... 1. Offering group lessons 2. Offering memberships Ive always done 1:1 individual lessons. Has anyone successfully added groups or memberships to their offerings? Thanks in advance!
Sunday Instructor Notes: Sometimes Less Is More
Something I caught myself doing this week while talking with a few instructors. I was trying to help them with too many things at once. Their offers, websites, Instagram bios, content, filming, follow-up, pricing… you name it. I’ve spent years figuring this stuff out at our facility, so naturally I want to share everything I’ve learned. But I realized something. Just because I know ten things that could help someone doesn’t mean they need all ten right now. One instructor I talked to needed help coming up with content ideas and actually getting them filmed. Another already had a busy coaching schedule and just needed an easier way to capture content during his lessons. Two completely different situations. And giving both of them a giant list of things to work on probably would have made things worse. That was my reminder this week: Focus on the ONE thing that will make the biggest difference right now. And the same goes for your lesson business. Maybe you want to build a website, improve your Instagram, create more content, get more students, and organize your follow-up. All good things. But you don’t have to fix everything this week. Sometimes the biggest win is simply: - Following up with three parents who asked about lessons. - Blocking 30 minutes to come up with content ideas. - Reaching out to five former students. - Getting your next lesson booked before a family leaves. - Small actions that actually move the business forward. Here’s my challenge for you this week: Before Monday gets going, pick ONE thing you know needs attention in your lesson business. Something you can realistically knock out in the next 24–48 hours. Get that done first. Then worry about the next thing. What’s the ONE thing you’re going to knock out this week? Drop it below. I’d love to hear what you’re working on.

Great advice!!! I needed to hear that. I'm cleaning up website and IG profile to have a consistent look and feel that is more professional and less like a garage sale.
Intro + 30 Day Focus- Tony Zuniga Corona, The Institute
**Body:** Tony Zuniga I played JC at Rancho Santiago College. Back to back state champions. I was awarded MVP both years. I got inducted into the HOF for my college in 2021. Drafted by the SF giants in 96, played 10 years of pro ball. In those 10 years I played for the Giants, Blue Jays, Mariners, and Brewers. Who you are (playing/coaching background) Ive been doing lessons for 20 years and have had travel ball experience since 2012 with the Tustin Scorpions, my organization. Where you give lessons (facility / field / cage / private) I do lessons at a facility, I average about 15, 30minute lessons per week. My rates are 110$ an hour. How many lessons per week you’re doing now and your typical rate Where things feel messy or inconsistent right now (schedule, parents, promotion, etc.) My biggest problem is I don't promote myself enough. I know I'mknowledgeable in the sport i just need to get myself out there on social media. Copy/paste and fill this in: “In the next 30 days, I will get to [25-30] lessons per week (or add +[Y] lessons/week) by installing my [booking / content / retention] system.” Hit **Post**.

Tony we missed each other by a couple years. I was in Scottsdale '91-'93 with the A's. Nothing like the Arizona Rookie League. Lol! Looking forward to your success.

Yeah, I loved Scottsdale! Probably too much. I spent three years in rookie ball😂. Finally got going when I was with the Mets in A/AA and AAA.
Baseballsmith
Hi! My name is Brandon Smith and my training facility is Baseballsmith located in Acworth, GA I am a husband, dad and soon to be grandpa! After playing 5 years of professional baseball I started Baseballsmith (1996). Over the years I've worked with thousands of families in the metro Atlanta area. My goal is to use baseball to teach kids that they can do hard things if they take it one step at a time. Some of the kids I've worked with have made it to the MLB, Division 1 and other levels of college baseball. My hope for all of them is that they enjoyed their experience in baseball more because of our time spent together. Currently, I do about 12-15 hours per week of lessons at an avg. hourly rate of $105. This is significantly down from years past where 25-30 hours/week was the norm. The biggest bottleneck is acquiring new clients. I have never advertised or marketed my training program. Relying solely on word of mouth and repeat clients has worked for a long time. However, I now need to run my business like a business and implement a process to get clients for myself and my other instructors. In the next 30 days, I will get to 20 hours of paid lessons/week by improving my client acquisition system.
