Can I still be trucking and do dispatching at the same time? Like on a 34 hour reset and when I get home time?

Value Post How to Book High Paying Loads as a Dispatcher
Most new dispatchers struggle with finding high paying loads because they're doing what everyone else is doing: Refreshing the load boars, Clicking the fist load and taking whatever the broker offer. That's not how you get paid. High Paying loads require strategy, timing and leverage. Here ae 5 dispatcher tips that instantly increase reates and load quality: 1. Know Where the Market is Hot (and avoid the cold areas) Rates are based on supply vs demand. If there are more trucks than loads reates drop. I f there more loads than trucks rates rise. Before you book anything check: DAT Hot Market Map. 2. Don't Negotiate like a Beginner. Most dispatchers say: Wht's the best you can do? That screams no leverage. Say this instead: My driver is available now 53' Dry Van, full 11 hours available, clean safety score, and we delievered for )broker name) before. What do you have on reate? This shows professionalism, Signals reliability and gives you negoatiation leverage. 3. Build Broker Relationships. High paying loads rarely sit on the load board. They go to: Dispatchers brokers trust, Carriers who show up on time and People who communicate professionally. After every smooth delivery: Call the broker and say "If you have more freight in thids lane, we'd be happy to cover it again." This is how you get repeat loads, Preferred pricing and Direct access to better freight 4. Choose Fright that matchers the Driver's Strenght. The Dispatcher's job is to maximize revenue and minimize stress. For example: If a driver wants weekends home build regional loops. A happy driver = consistent revenue. 5. Don't Chsae low pay just to "Keep Moving." Soemtimes waiting 30 minutes gets you +$300 more, faster pickup and less headache. The goal: Profit per miles, not miles alone.

First Jitters 👀
As I can imagine everyone who's convinced themselves that they can not only succeed in this career, but excel as well. Prior to me joining " DU " I've done my own research and of course there's always this feeling of what if. If you've had the same feelings or disposition, what things did you do to make you persevere or make that first phone call to a carrier ? Thank you ! 🙏🏾
