Write the blurb first
Tiny tip that makes everything easier: write your blurb first. Once you know the promise of your book in a few sentences, your ad copy, emails, and cover notes all get simpler, because they borrow from the blurb. It's not the last chore. It's your little compass. Paste your one-line hook below (just the single sentence that makes someone want your book). I'd love to read them.

Your cover is quietly selling for you
Gentle truth for today: a lot of the sale happens before a reader ever opens your book. Your cover, title, and blurb are doing quiet work for you around the clock. Easy, no-pressure exercise: pop onto Amazon, look at the Top 100 in your genre, and just notice. What colors keep showing up? What mood? That's your readers telling you what they're drawn to. Tell me your genre and one thing you notice the top covers have in common. Let's spot the patterns together.

Psychological Thrillers. Lots of solo/abandoned houses in the woods. Which fits exactly what I'm writing now...but think it could use some improvements, just don't know what exactly 🤔
