Putting my first trays under lights for the first time!!!!
Bro, I was NOT expecting this to be so sweet 😛 🫛 3 of 6 trays I planted on the same day came out very evenly germinated. The best ones are peas, sunflower and arugula, my broccoli was patchy, my kale is half up half down, and my radishes were interesting because the perimeter is growing awesome but the interior field is still pale and matted. I bottom watered the 4 brassicas but the peas and sunflower soil looks good and moisturized so I left em alone. This will be fun learning the correct time to harvest each variety, I’m more than stoked!

@Michael Davison yours were probably harvested below your varieties bottom node (growing point) I assume. Mine took probably another 3-4 days for the second harvest which doubled my yield from 3oz to 6oz🤣

Got my first private chef contact today!
Went driving around Lawrenceville today to 3 restaurants. The first took my contact info. The second the owner wasn’t there but I have a lead to go back around 11:00am. And the 3rd place I went to I met chef Jen Swan — a sweet lady that has won chopped champion! She was working at a brunch place when I met her, but she has her own private chef service which she’s interested in partnering for. So she took a sample of my radish and sweet peas and gave me her business card and we are now going to be in contact going forward when her private chef season picks up a bit. Didn’t make my first dollar yet… but for 2hrs and 3 spots… I’m very happy with this first test run of trying to make connections in the industry!
